limewire vs. bearshare
i have limewire and is it really bad like.. causes spyware and slows down your computer? is bearshare any better? does it slow down the computer alsooo?

I have Limewire and I love it.
It barely causes viruses and spyware.
From what i have been told Bearshare does cause all those things and really messes up your computer.
So you are better of with Limewire.

I haven't had either of these downloaders, but I have heard that both Limewire and Bearshare are bad. I suggest downloading a new downloader. Maybe 'Ares'? It's a really great downloader. I've haven't had a problem with it yet, and I've had it for a few years now. No spyware, no pop ups, doesn't slow down your computer or gives off viruses. It's great! I highly recommend it. I had Bearshare before and it's horrible. I got so many pop ups, a virus and it slowed down my computer. For me, Limewire is great. It goes fast on my computer and no spyware or anything. If I were you I would get Ares. It's fast and works good. You can download it at www.download.com

i have had bearshare before and it screwed up my whole computer so i fixed that and try limewire it slowed down my computer a little but it didnt mess it up as much as bearshare did but my friend finds it different so it depends on the kind of computer i guess.

I have Limewire and ive never had any problems with it. My friend tried Bearshare and it ruined his whole computer. He had to get a whole new one. I think Limewire is better.

Hey, Yes bearshare is better. I used to use limewire and i found it to be bad and slowing my comptuer done. I also used to get these nasty pop-ups but not with bearshare. Hope i haev helped. Please rate.

i personally like limwire better and i have heard a lot of bad things about bearshare. to protect your computer from spyware downloaded from either program i would use Ad-Aware SE Personal which you can download at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) all you have to do is search it. i also have EZ Armor firewall and spy sweeper which is awesome.

Well I have limewire and of course all of the downloading programs will give you spyware and stuff but if you have like norton anivirus then you should be fine that is what I have.When I had bearshare it messed up my wholee computer and it didnt even let me get on to it. I personally thing that limewire is better but if you dont like either of those then you should try out Warez I had it for a while and it works really well!
