nope. just tough it out, if it sucks, dont worry itll be over by the end of the night! if it starts to get bad, just tell him you have to go home soon so you wont get in toruble. bringing a friend makes it awkward though, it could be a great one-on-one date.

i don't think you should bring friends. it might intimidate your date. think about how you would feel if you were alone and your date brought his/her friends. if the date goes badly you can just leave and call one of your friends. they don't need to be with you. :)

i think that you should have your friends close by but dont make it seem like you have someone watching you all. you should go somewhere public just in case he/she try to do somthing that can in danger you.

Bringing your friends along gives you a sense of safety but it makes your date a little uneasy. He (or she) is already nervous enough on this blind date.

My suggestion is: Why not have a day date at some place public? Like lunch at a local cafe or pizzaria. It's public enough so that you'll feel safe but it's private enough so you can get to know your date.

You should have your friend bring a date also, so it is not extremely awkward.
