i have a question about people and racism.. why do black people try to take advantage of it? like my school has way more white people than black and if you say someting bad about 1 of the black kids or dont like them just because you dont like them NOT because they are black they just go on saying you are racist. like this boy at my didnt make varsity basketball team because quit frankly he was really bad and his parents sued the school saying they were racist and then they had to take him on the team.i am from the north so normally its not an issue but i think black people try to take advantage of racism.. why?
I dont know black people dont take advantage of racism? Well, not me. White people overdo things too.. im looking on peoples myspace and in their comments their all like. 'Wow haha I love you Niggerpoo!' and their white. Everyone can overdo things. NOT US. Even a mexican would do that. [ jena4lopez's advice column | Ask jena4lopez A Question ]
cutie15 answered Friday January 20 2006, 5:19 pm: They aren't really racist, but they are outnumbered. They just want to be accepted, and even if they are accepted, they want to be good at things and rather than blame it on themselves, want to blame it on racism. Many people are like that now a days. Excuses are excuses. Just try to be friends with them and they don't want to accept you in the way you are accepting them, then at least you tried. It's their own fault and the way they want to live their life. [ cutie15's advice column | Ask cutie15 A Question ]
IAmShammay answered Thursday January 19 2006, 6:26 pm: not all blacks are racist. its just ever since the whole slavery tihng, they get upset and think it might happen again..
heres something that i found. someone sent it to me on myspace, i think oyu will enjoy it.--p.s. im not racist at all!
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.
You call me "Cracker", "Honkey", "Whitey" and even "The Man" and you think it's OK.
But when I call you, "nigger", "Kike", "Towelhead", "Sand-nigger", "Camel Jockey", "Beaner" or "Chink" you call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live
You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have Yom Hashoah
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.
If we had WET(white entertainment television) we'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.
If we had white history month, we'd be racists.
If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be racists.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.
ScratchesOnTheWall answered Thursday January 19 2006, 5:11 pm: Frankly, because they can. Particularly in the case of parents- if you can do something to help your kids get ahead in life (e.g. through personal contacts or money) you will do it. As far as minorities- blacks, gays, even women (although not technically a minority) etc- go, the threat of accusing someone of being rascist/homophobic/misogynistic is pretty powerful and allows some people to get where they want to go. Being called rascist nowadays is like being called a witch in Salem in the 1690s.
Not to say that rascism doesn't exist and that in some cases the accusers have a point but another factor is the extent of media hype about it. The horror stories and the way they're latched onto seems to encourage minorities to think of themselves as constant potential victims and sometimes read racial offence into a situation when none was intended.
4everMyself2 answered Thursday January 19 2006, 5:09 pm: DON'T STEREO TYPE!!! You are being racist by saying "black people try to take advantage of racism"
Not all African Americans do that.
extton answered Thursday January 19 2006, 3:56 pm: Well, sometimes, it's because they're jerks, and they like to take advantage of the situation.
But then, other times, they actually do think that they're being discriminated against because of their skin color, despite the fact that that may not be the case. There's still quite a bit of favoritism of white folks in the country, and so black people often have to ask themselves - was i denied this opportunity fairly, or because of my skin color? attractive answered Thursday January 19 2006, 3:54 pm: im black and some of the things people do say like the n word are offense it not that they are trying to say that they are racist it the scenrio that plays out ok like if all the people onj the basket ball team are white and only white people make the team and hes black and doesnt how does that look they are not thinking hey im not good it you dont like me because im african american and it the same with whites all black team a white person trys out doesnt make it racism right wrong there going to think because if the color of there skin automatically means you can or cant do this or that have this or that. and not saying that you are at a all white school even though your in the north racism is everywhere even on tv shows today maybe there was someone racist on the team theere not going to come out and say hey im racist it the looks and the gestures made towards them and maybe somes parent is you dont have to be but your partent does and if your at an all white school only few blacks then you say you dont like them just because thats singling them out just like back in the early 1900's and there going to feel like theirs some type of prejudice thing going on its all on the person and how the people around you act you dont have to be a certain color to be racist either if your white you can be racist to another white because you live in a trailer and they live in a mansion theres always going to be someone thinking racailly even if it doent mean anything and the way they look at it is by therfe surroundings-hope this anwered your question

babiigirl answered Thursday January 19 2006, 3:42 pm: They just think like that they take it to there abililty atleast i think so im not racist so no one think that. Their mine automatcially says oh i didnt get on the basketball team because im black. Doubt it. Black people say usually say oh cause im black aint it?
Just kinda like the subject like if a white person calling a black boy the ni word he gets affended and wants to beat the crap. But if a Black boy calls a white person cracker you cant do anything about it.
