when you answer a question here, and the person who asked it gives you like a one or something, and you change your advice or say say something by editing your answer, will it still say 1 new answer by their question thing so that they know you edited your answer?
attractive answered Tuesday January 17 2006, 4:16 pm: no. it will remain the same unless they look and see that you changed it into better advice then its just the same as if you didnt change it. only way anything can change is if the person who rated you ask rereads the advice and changes your rating other than that no sorry [ attractive's advice column | Ask attractive A Question ]
tasuki answered Tuesday January 17 2006, 12:57 am: I don't know. But when I get a one, it's usually because the person is just plain ignorant. I figure there's nothing I can do to change that so I delete my question and just like magic--my rating goes back up. I find it's easier than wasting time justifying myself to people who just didn't understand what I was saying or gave me a one because I said something they didn't want to hear. Karen answered Monday January 16 2006, 5:12 pm: Unless you add an 'edit' message to your answer, a new answer won't show up for that particular question. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Teza answered Monday January 16 2006, 4:25 pm: No it won't. Your rating won't change unless they change it. The only thing you can do is type EDIT by it and hopefully they will see it. I know it sucks. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
