Okay, I didn't get any sleep tonight since I woke up at 4:30 P.M. So if I went to sleep now, then I would wake up at either 4 or 5. I am just going to stay awake so that I don't get my sleep schedule messed up even more then it is. My question now is, what are some good things I could do to stay awake? I'm kind of feeling sleepy now. I need some quick answers. Thank you!

I'm not saying stuff yourself. Eat something like popcorn or peanuts. Something that comes in small pieces, isn't very filling, and has a strong taste is ideal. I hope I helped and good luck. Siren_Cytherea answered Friday January 13 2006, 7:57 pm: Heh, I know how that is. I forced myself to stay awake all night for my music history final a few weeks ago.
Drink coffee/something caffeinated. Exercise helps give you energy (if you exercise right), listen to music with a dance kind of beat and maybe move to it a little.
My best advice is - don't think about "oh look how late it is." Just think of whatever time it happens to be as "just another time." That's what I did and before I knew it it was time to go take my test, lol.
Write. Draw. Play games. Try your hand at writing a song - something you have to concentrate on, so you can't just like sit there and do stuff. Force yourself to use your brain, but not to the point that it wears you out.
Also, make sure you don't get too warm. I dunno about you, but when I'm all comfy and cozy I wanna fall asleep.
Good luck!

deathwillcome answered Friday January 13 2006, 10:24 am: You could play videogames, excercise, go for a jog, take a shower. Anything that gets your sences in action. You might not want to read or do something like that because that could just make you more tired. If you keep moving, you will wake up. I hope that I helped, and remember that my inbox is always open. You don't have to rate, but it would be nice. Thanks! [ deathwillcome's advice column | Ask deathwillcome A Question ]
SaturnMoonie answered Friday January 13 2006, 10:17 am: Stay out of bed! There's not much you can do, I suffer from Insomnia BIG time, and my sleep is all over the place. Usually if I'm trying to stay awake because it's daytime I try taking a shower, that usually wakes me up for 2-4 hours. You could also try moving, clean your house or something. As long as you don't get comfortable in a bed, or the couch, or even the floor, you might be able to make it.
