definitely apply some vaseline and buy the kleenex that contains aloe in it cause it will prevent your nose from being irritated when you need to blow your nose.

put on some chapstick. (carmex is best)
to prevent this from happening again, you can buy special tissues with moisturizers in them.

This is going to sound really gross, but what I do is to put some Vaseline on my nose where the irritation is. I don't go out in public with my nose covered in Vaseline or anything, but doing this right before you go to bed will help it to be less chapped. I would reccomend using regular lotion during the day for it, but the Vaseline really helps me out; Especailly during the winter when the air's dry.

If ur nose is like chapped then you can put chapstick or carmex on it. I know this sounds weird but it helps! Its just like if you have chapped lips only not......

First, get some of those tissues that have aloe and lotion in them - they'll keep the problem from getting worse.

Second, put any skin-care lotion on your nose - personally I like aloe, but almost anything should work. The point is to protect the skin and retain moisture. That increases the healing process.

Third, make sure to put extra lotion on your nose before you go to sleep. You should wake up feeling a lot better.

Fourth, stay hydrated. Keep a glass of water near you, and sip from it frequently. That will definitely help.

Last, if you have a humidifier, make sure it's clean and run it in your room when you're sleeping. Moisture in the air will help your nose feel better, heal quicker, and will help with your cold, too.

Oh, and take some aspirin or tylenol or other painkiller if the pain keeps you from sleeping - assuming, of course, that it's safe for you to take them and they don't conflict with any other medication that you may be taking.

Feel better soon!

Ok. I know this sucks. I have horrible allergies, espcailly when it gets cold outside. Its always a good idea to use the Kleenex with the lotion on them. Thats one way to help prevent the irritation and dry skin. Try putting NON SCENTED lotion around your nose. Thats what helps me. Vaseline makes tons of soothing lotions without the scents. Hope this helped.

Karen answered Friday December 23 2005, 4:05 pm:
I hate it when that happens to me, especially when it's irritated on the sides of my nose. You should apply Aloe Vera or even Vaseline lotion to help soothe your skin. Walgreen's has a Vaseline lotion for only $1 and it works for me.
