I have been given a birth date for my baby of 27 june 2006...Unfortunately I am not sure who the father might be,.....I know I had sex on 30th September 2005 and although we used condoms, on the second occasion it slipped off and remained inside my vagina for a while....my cycle has been about 26 days and I am aged 47...is it at all possible this baby was concieved on the 30 Sept 2005..? I am not really that sure of the first day of my last period..... thank you

luckybutt32 answered Sunday December 11 2005, 11:17 pm: a due date is only an estimate because conception can happen during a time frame of 7 days. for instance most women are fertile when ovulation occurs which is normally 14 to 17 days after the first day of thier period. when a man ejaculates in you or if it was a torn condom or anything for that matter, they can thrive and live inside the vagina for 7 to 10 days that is the life span of sperm. so the conception could have been during the 7 to 10 day life span if the condom was left inside of you and during that time you may have ovulated. i hope i shed some light on this [ luckybutt32's advice column | Ask luckybutt32 A Question ]

If so, you might be able to count back the weeks to get a general idea of the date of conception. Just be aware that due dates are estimates. No one really knows when a baby will come until it decides to come into the world.
The best way to determine when conception was is to ask your ob/gyn. If there's question as to who is the father, they can arrange for a DNA test. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]
susana answered Sunday December 11 2005, 9:20 am: If I understand your question right, it seems in all likelihood that you did conceive on the 30th of September. June 27th would be nine months from that time. I don't think it matters when the first day of your last period was. For instance, if you're thinking you had a period after the 30th of September, it's not all that unusual to have a period or two shortly after you've conceived. I hope I answered the question you were asking. [ susana's advice column | Ask susana A Question ]
