To start off, i'm only 15 years old. I've been with my boyfriend for five months. We just recently broke up, and a week after our break up he got a new girlfriend. I was really upset for awhile, and I couldn't even eat because of it. I cried just about every day. I constantly think about him, and regardless of how bad he treats/has treated me, I still have an enormous amount of feelings for him. I don't know why I can't get over him. My friend told me "If you can't get over him, maybe there's a reason". Is it possible I'm in love? Or what is it that I'm feeling? And why can't it go away?

If he treated you that badly... he is not worth your time. For the in love part.. you could be in love, but I doubt it. I think maybe you dont like him any more, but you miss what you guys had. And if not, you may still like him. That means you have to go talk to him. Tell him you still like him. Since he has a girlfriend he probably wont go out with you. But you can just ask him if he still has feelings for you too.

Well first off... It's very possible you're in love...
I've been there before... It takes a long time to get over a relationship like that-me and my ex-boyfriend broke up in August of 2004 and I still have feelings for him. It's just something that needs time. He has a new girlfriend now too and I hated her for the longest time for no reason, but now I see that even though I still have feelings for him there's a reason we aren't together. It takes a lot of time and healing but eventually you'll see that you're okay without him. Just let it burn and try to surround yourself with friends and things you like to do. Don't jump into another relationship too fast because that could possible hurt you even more or hurt someone else. Just take time to realize that it was something great, but all great things end sometimes. It will probably even make you stronger in the end. Wow. I was in this EXACT POSITION a little while ago. No darling, it's not love you feel. You just miss him and his company. He is so not worthy of you. Find another guy who will treat you right, and yes, I know exactly how you feel, except I let the guy do sexual things to me. I just missed him for a while, but i really realized that he was scum later on. You will get over him. It's not love. Please don't think it is.

My girlfriend and i just broke up... three days before our year anniversary. She is going out and meeting guys and i have to respect that. But a week for a new girlfriend is a little soon. For 15 that seems a little immature. Make sure you keep your friendship with him. But i think you should move on.

The same thing happened with me and my boyfriend of 8months...I talked to him and told him how I felt and it turned out he felt the same way and was just using the girl to get over me...maybe its the same in ur situation..i say talk to him and then if he doesn't feel the same way...theres always more fish in the sea

Okay if he has another girlfriend that show that it time to move on with your life. Yes, it will be hard but who said it would be easy. All you have to do is take care of yourself and worry about yourself. YOU always come first! then once you are ready you can start to find someone else to love and hold better than your old boyfriend.
