I'll rate 5's... Alright well Monday i was sick with a stuffy nose and a sore throat. I was still sick Tuesday but I went to school. I felt fine Wednesday and Thursday. But Friday night my throat hurt everytime I swallowed. I woke up Saturday morning at 5AM and I felt so sick; I still do ; I have a wicked headache, My throat hurts, my nose is stuffy, and my stomach hurts. Do you know what this is ?? How can I get better ??
The most common symptoms of strep throat are a sudden, severe sore throat; pain or difficulty swallowing; fever over 101° (38.3°); swollen tonsils and lymph nodes; and white or yellow spots on the back of a bright red throat. Strep infection may also cause a headache and abdominal pain. Less commonly, strep throat can cause a red skin rash, vomiting, loss of appetite, and a general feeling of discomfort or illness. I had it.
No need for you to goto the doctor.
Just drink lots of water, and get PLENTY of rest.
Rest is the cure for almost everything!
IAmShammay answered Saturday November 26 2005, 5:53 pm: you might have a sinusitus. i get those a lot. if you have stuff dripping down the back of your throats then it could be your sinuses or alergies. the doctor will give you medicine for it. its not contagious if you do have it though.
it might be strep too if it isnt that. go to a doctor as soon as you can. [ IAmShammay's advice column | Ask IAmShammay A Question ]
elliajean1214 answered Saturday November 26 2005, 5:27 pm: It could just be a relapse. (When you get sick a couple days after you get better) You could also go to a doctor just to make sure that its not something bigger than that. But you're probably just sick agian from what you had a couple nights ago. [ elliajean1214's advice column | Ask elliajean1214 A Question ]
Nevaeh314 answered Saturday November 26 2005, 4:43 pm: My first advice is to go see a doctor immediately. While it's probably just something minor like seasonal cold or flu, you should take precautions in case it's not. Mononucleosis (Mono, i.e. "The Kissing Disease") has symptoms like that. A few different types of more serious fevers do as well as Meningitis, which you should get tested for. If you have a strong aversion to light, a sensitivity to noise, and you can't touch your chin to you chest you really need to go see the doctor, because it's probably Meningitis.
I don't mean to scare you at all, it sounds to me like you just have a nasty cold, but you can never be too careful.
Hope this helps.
Love,
