I would be looking for a new dentist.

Tell your parents about this if they don't already know. Tell your dentist to refer you to someone more suited to work with young people. Your mom can ask.

Don't put up with being treated that way. He may be a dentist but hes just another jerk on the planet I'd say. :)

ok im a 15 year old female and i just got my braces taken off...braces are really complicating the whole time you wear them...maybe this orthodontist doesnt know what hes talking about really because things happen and maybe you should find another orthodontist and see if things still go bad it could just be that doctor...hope this helps
your friend,
Jess

Ooh don't worry!! Mine did it all the time, I began to think I was cursed or something!! The wire kept coming out of the brackets at the back. It's because your teeth are moving so much (and also my ortho is crap lol) I've had mine on for a year and a half now and after about 4 months they stopped doing it. In the meantime you can ask to change orthodontist or be seen by another one, or say a friend told you the same thing happened to them and it's because your teeth move so quick :) Whatever happens, DON'T let him yell at you! Tell your parents, they shouldn't stand for it. It's horrible and you shouldn't have to put up with it!!
Best of luck, and see if you can get some 'braces wax' too...you can put it on the wire at the back when it sticks out and stuff so it doesn't hurt until you can get another appointment :)

Your orthodontist yells at you? That's rude. YOU (well, your parents) PAY for his services, and as expensive as braces are, he should put the brackets back on without complaining. He can tell you not to eat sticky, hard foods and stuff like that CALMLY, but yelling is crossing the line.

Tell your parents about it. This 'orthodontist' needs to respect his customers. He needs an attitude adjustment as well.

That's a lot of brackets to come off in such a short period of time though. Avoid very hard foods, sticky foods (sugarfree gum is usually okay), and don't pick at your brackets.

Tell your parents before the next appointment.

I hope I helped, and if you have any more questions, feel free to leave one in my inbox!

Your orthodontist shouldn't yell at you, first of all. When I had braces a few years ago, I didn't experience any bracket coming off, but it could just be that the glue used to glue the brackets onto your teeth is not strong enough. If he's going to yell at you, I advise you to have your mother/father to get you another orthodontist.

i had braces for 2ish years, and i only had one bracket fall off

it could be because youre eating the wrong kind of foods, like sticky stuff, or chewing hard candy or something like that.

thats the only way i know of to break a bracket off.

I don't know how braces work, but if your dentist is actually yelling at you I would ask your mother to find you a new dentist. That's ridiculous.
