Dear Advicenators,

I'm a 13 year old girl who is turning 14 in January. My hieght is appromiatley 5'3" and I weigh 103 lbs. I feel fat and ugly and I am determined to loose 5-10 lbs. in the next month or two. What do I need to do? I feel so gross, and when I'm flirting w/ my cush and he offers to give me piggy back rides I always have to turn him down bc/ i think i'll break him. How do I loose weight fast, and not to much exercising because exercise=muscle, which is heavier then fat. I want to build my stomach and my butt and thighs so they are extremely tight and fit. I want to have the perfect body, what diet can I go on, or simple quick exercises that only loose fat and build ur stomach fat, no muscle! Thank-you. I'll rate<3

The best all-around exercise is to just run...believe me I know from experiene. I am involved in sports and I can lose weight really fast if I set my mind to it. So jog...then slow your pace down a bit....then speed it up. Alternate it, because that actually helps you lose more weight. Build up your time each day until you can go for thirty minute runs. Just make sure you never exceed what your body can take. To tone your belly, do crunches (at least 50 a day and then build it up), to tone your butt, do squats, and for your legs, do some type of leg press (do you have access to weight machines?) But the biggest tip I could give you, is not just to cut down on whatyou eat - you should always follow your food guide pyramid - but just MAKE SURE you drink plenty of water. It rids your system or toxins and it will help you lose weight better than anything. I hope I helped!

well it turns out you are pretty perportionatte to your size. now if you were 4'9'' and 130 pounds then you would be over weight. but then again its never to late to lose a few pounds ~few being the opprative word~ and if you monitor you eating habits ~ and yes you HAVE to eat!~ and make sure you do excersize about 3 or 4 times a week you will be down to 98 pounds in about a month. dont do crash diets theyd o hurt you as much ppl tell you they dont. and i am pretty sure you wont break him bc unless he is smaller then you he can support you, especially when you r only 103 pounds.

I'm have the same problem. I am the same height and I am 13 more pounds hevyer than you are now. So, my advice should be great for you. When I first gained all my extra weight, i panicked. I din't eat, I threw up, i did everything. But later I realised that it doestn't matter that you way more than other girls, cuz everyone is different. Belive me, the girls in my class are so much skinnyer than me, i want to die. but at the end of the i realise than,(and I quote Christina ) I am beautiful no matter what they say. Words can't bring me down. now, if this guy dosent end up likeing you because he thinks your fat, he is a jerk and isn't worth your time.
Well, thats all I can say.

okay first of all when you excersiz you automatically begin to grow muscle and thats what keeps your body stable so if you dont like muscle just because it weighs more than fat you might as well die now. not trying to be harsh or anything but its true. but you could do lunges for your butt and legs. and crunches and stuff like that for your stomach.

Well you're not fat at all!!! I went to www.am-i-fat.com and typed in your height and weight. It says you are marginally thin, eat more, and with your height 5'3 120 pounds would be perfect. Since your opinion might be different im still going to help you. Here are some excercises you can do (each one for 30 minutes) Dancing, Basketball (make sure your playing a game not by yourself or you wont get enough excercise), Bike Riding, Bowling (i know it sounds weird but your building up your upper body strength), Housework, Lacrosse, Jogging, and snow shoveling. These are somegood exercises to do for apporximately 30 minutes. You could also do crunches, and pushups. I do about 100 each a night. You could start out with 50 eahc night, and go up higher. And dont forget healthy eating !! For breakfast you could eat something like cereal. For lunch something like a sandwich and fruit, and for fruit and some vegetables.

Omsh!! I am 13 turning 14 in April. I am 5'4'' and i weigh 126. Just because you weigh alot doesnt mean your fat. TRUST ME!! Its the amount of yuor bones and how your built. I'm not fat either...GIRL BE PROUD OF WHO YOUN ARE!! lol i weant to build those areas too lol

103 lbs is like my one leg. not really but that really isn't much at all, really. i know a lot of girls that are 5'4 and weigh 120ish so really you aren't fat. the only way you can lose weight the healthy way would be following a few things.

1- sleep 9-10 hrs a nite. it really does help.
2- eat all 3 meals no matter what. try to eat something. it can be whatever you want, juss make sure it's smaller portions.
3- eat breakfast. you have to er you'll either gain weight, er stay the same weight, because if you don't eat breakfast your body will go into starvation mode & not burn off any calories.
4- eat every 3 hrs if possible. this is where it's tricky. you need to eat good foods like fruits, veggies, crackers, etc.
5- exercise. it doesn't have to be a lot. maybe some light walking, jogging, er running if you want, and 50 crunches er so.

DON'T diet. well, eat a healthy diet..but don't diet. and STOP thinking you are fat. you are taller than me and wayy lighter..and i am considered thin. try doing crunches everyday if you want a flatter stomach. losing weight won't necessarily give you a flat stomach. most importantly, think confidently!
