Question Posted Saturday October 22 2005, 7:42 pm

If someone kicked a hole through a wall at a university, could they get jail time? And would it be considered an act of vandalism?

It would be considered vandalism. You might get 24 hrs in jail if you got arrested for it (depending on if you had bail money).

More than likely you would have to pay for repairs. :)

Yes, they could most definately get jail time, and yes, it is considered an act of vandalism. Vandalism is defacing property... Putting a hole in a wall would be defacing it. So, yes they could DEFINATELY get jail time, but most likely will get a fine for it's repair.

Most likely, you'd get fined for defacing public property, but it also depends on the situation, liek if you were defending yourself against someone and you went to kick them and hit the wall instaed then they would have to pay. Hope that answered your question! ♥ caitie

SweetxxIntoxication answered Saturday October 22 2005, 8:36 pm:
i could be an act of vandalism, depending on why it happened, or if it was an act of revenge...but most likely they will just have you or that person who kicked the whole in the wall pay for the damage
