Hey everyone! My hair is naturally wavy and very thick. I have it cut it layers with angled bangs. If I wear my hair natural it looks, well, like crap. I would love to make my hair either curly or wavy. What do you think is the best product and how do I make this possible? Rollers? Curling Iron? Any specific product??
UWishUHadMyHemi answered Saturday October 22 2005, 2:47 pm: definately dont get a perm.. this will fry your hair and it will never be the same (take it from me, i know!!!) try heat rollers. spray a little bit of hairspray on your hair and then brush your hair. roll your hair in different directions (roll one roller towards the crown of your head, one roller towards your neck, one roller towards your face, one roller towards the back of your head) this is called bricklayering and it will make your curls look more natural. let the curls cool completely and then put a little bit of styling gel on your fingers and tousle them a little but. if its too curly for you, then use some more gel and tame it until you like it.
hyperhottiegirl answered Saturday October 22 2005, 8:24 am: well what i do is simple and gives you the natural look but it is also HOT. I would buy mouse of any kinda. right when you out of the shower flip your hair over and take one BIG handful of mouse and scrunch your hair. You can put as much mouse into your hair as you want to give it a curly or wavy effect. When you done with the mouse get some hairsray and spray it in your hair while scrunching your hair one more time and this will give it a glossy effect and make it stay in all day. You can get both these products at your local grocery store of cvs. sorry its long hope i helped >3 [ hyperhottiegirl's advice column | Ask hyperhottiegirl A Question ]

Use the hot rollers only if your hair takes forever to dry. If it dries fast then just wash it and put them in rollers and sleep with them in. The first choice works best for me. Get thermasilk hair spray or any hair spray and spray it when you get them in and them hair spray them when you have it styled the way you want. sarraleew answered Thursday October 20 2005, 7:30 pm: first of all i have thick curly hair too, and any knid of layers are going to make your probable look like crap. they just make your hair bigger. and for product..if you don't want poof..use like a gell or defriz-curl product. and if you don't like the stickness of gell then use some kind of conditioner for wavy/curly hair, it helps. x0brittany0x answered Thursday October 20 2005, 6:53 pm: A curling iron would work better than rollers (unless you have the time to wait). As a curling iron I recommend Conair's my mom has one and it works great.Or you can use 411 Curling Spray and scrunch your hair. (That's what I use.)
xomegaroni answered Thursday October 20 2005, 6:43 pm: i think curling iron would be better than rollers, because it's a lot less time & it's faster to heat up. my hair gets extremely curly, it naturally is, but i can fix it so that it doesnt poof er anything. what i do is take a shower in the morning before school er w/e & take moose, it's called treseme, & put some of that on & let it go wet, so it's scrunched kinda but still has nice curls. try this site-
