Mackenzie answered Friday October 7 2005, 12:53 am: Some girls who participate in lots of sports or that exercise frequently may actually stop menstruating regularly; and that's all fine, dandy and normal.
Another thing to consider: have you been really stressed lately?? Stress is another reason someone might skip their cycle.
Also, eating disorders can cause this, definitely. What happens is, when a female is eating very little and getting thinner and thinner, Amenorrhea [the medical term for no periods] might set it.
Here's a thought for ya: an imbalance in some hormone levels can also lead to missed cycles or irregular bleeding.

It just means your body is starting to work faster. If you're really cocerned go see your doctor. Otherwise you just have to go through a week of hell lol.

GDROB answered Thursday October 6 2005, 9:15 pm: Hi,
You should have told us how many years you have had your period for. The amount of years or months matters in our response. If you have only had it for six months to a year or two years you may get your period any place, any time and it has nothing to do with having sex or not. It means you are irregular. All this is natural until a female develops a cycle and it becomes regular.
It's all hormonal but that is all that happened to you. Don't freak out but be sure to have tampons or pads as a standby. If your period has been around for a long time and this is unusal talk with a gynaecologist about it and then relax. Odds are this is all it is. [ GDROB's advice column | Ask GDROB A Question ]
