xXxpinky615xXx answered Thursday October 6 2005, 9:58 pm: Personally, I think that one should start dating at 14 or 15. You are slightly more mature at 14 or 15. 12 and 13 year olds are uber immature, and think they are in love when they've been dating a guy for 2 minutes. That's ANNOYING.
Anyway, I would say that because I made the horrible mistake in dating young. I started at 12! That's really young. Your hormones are all screwed up at 12 and 13.
I've been in a serious relationship for about a year and a half now, we started dating when I was 14, turning 15 the month after. I felt I was more mature, and more ready to have an actual relationship with a guy instead of going out with one for a week, breaking up, dating another guy for a week, breaking up.. Yadda Yadda Yadda. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]

i think people should be able to start going out at the age of 14 because that is when most people start to understand what like is about and things of that nature. but my parents think you shoudl be able to have a boyfriend or girlfriend until your 16 which ever single day i break because i think it is wrong.

dorinflower55 answered Thursday October 6 2005, 8:53 pm: well it depends, when you are little you can date but it's not as serious, like in elementry, (3rd or 4th grade)
and then in middle skool it gets a little more serious, (like hooking up and stuff, and after that it is definetely more serious. so i think like 5th or 6th grade

storageanddisposal answered Thursday October 6 2005, 8:24 pm: Dating is fine for pretty much any age. I had a 'girlfriend' before elementary school. It's a different matter altogether when discussing a serious relationship. I don't think you should date seriously until you know you're absolutely ready. When it concerns your future, usually establishing some sort of life should come first.
Very serious relationships should start after college, semi-serious relationships in high school, before then you should really just have fun without concerning yourself with future plans.
Though, when it comes to dating, it might be a good idea to wait until one of you have a license. Having a parent or friend drive you to a date can be sort of a mood killer.
BunnyxAblaze answered Thursday October 6 2005, 8:17 pm: People are ready to date at many diferent ages.I'm glad you asked for others opinions on this subject rather than just jumping right into it, I respect that. But i think dating is ok by the age of 10. But I've been dating since kindergarden. However I think serious relationshipd will begin to happen in your teens. Hope I helped. sbloemeke answered Thursday October 6 2005, 8:07 pm: 16/m. I think that a person can start dating at 13, when they have some aspect to what it is, but 15 is when real dating begins. 13-14 is puppy dog love, 15 is when real relationships should begin. russianspy1234 answered Thursday October 6 2005, 7:55 pm: well the definition of dating changes with age, i mean parents even set up play dates for like 6 year old kids. as for serious dating id say 16 is a good age to start but once you are in high school the dating scene is all over the place so 14 is an ok age.
