Visiting your parent was set up with the idea that *you* still had a right and desire to see him. It was done for your good, not his. If you don't want to see him anymore, then that is your choice. You just need to inform a lawyer so your mother doesn't get in any trouble. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]

Now allow me to just say that you and me are both in about the same situation. Except me I just tell my dad "No I am not going to come over to your place." He lives with his girlfriend I believe. My parents are not divorced but I want them to get one. My dad is not abusive but he does hate it when you argue with him. Now unless when they got a divorce they signed something that said you had to go well then that can easily be taken care of. You can either get an attorny or keep going and once your father goes over the edge and abuses you then go to social services. You will never have to go over to his place again.

If you have a cell phone make sure the battery is fully charged. any moment that you feel like your life is being threatened, don't hesitate to dial 911. By court you have to go to your dads house unless they say other wise. be strong. Whether or not you believe in prayers. You have mine.
