i was just wondering what a christians view was on cousins going out. is it a sin? and no, i'm not going out, or in love with my cousin!

yes it is because your cousins are part of your family, your not supposed to love them in that way lol thats just gross. I know some people dont think it really matters if their cousins because they dont concider them "related".But it really is inapporipate.

Yes, it IS a sin in a roundabout way. The Bible, to my knowledge, doesn't strictly prohibit it, but it DOES tell us to obey those in authority over us. This includes the laws laid down for us to follow. Most states have laws against dating anyone closer than a 3rd or 4th cousin because of the birth defects that can occur. Breaking these laws is a sin. Therefore dating your cousin who falls within these parameters is also a sin. Hope this helped.

From what i know theres nothing in the bible about it. Just what you or whoever it is needs to think about is.. is it the best thing for them? Wehter or not its a sin the person needs to ask thereselves "Would God want me doing this?" Hope i helped!

I see it as a sin. You are related, so it is just not right to be in love with your cousin. Insodomy....
But then again, Adam and Eve were the first people on the world, and had children. If those children had not performed insodomy or something along the lines, we wouldn't be talking.
I don't know. I guess it isn't if it was done in the bible without punishment. And I don't think there ever was a rule prohibitting it.

Yes having that kind of relationship with your cousin is a sin, even though it happened a lot in the biblical times. Note..that all happend before christ came, so they were only following scriptures, not the words of God. So many people had made mistakes. The Lord definitly would look upon you breaking his commands or laws of our country. It is illegal because it can cause birth defects and most people in society would definitly frown upon it. Give advice to whoever you know wants to date their cousin and tell him/her that it is not a smart or godly thing to do.

In itself, I can find nothing in the Bible that says that dating is a sin. Fornication, of course, is a very different story.
