anouncing my designs
i would really like to become a fashion designer
ive already made some clothes... i just need a way to advertise them.. like get people to know my clothes are out there
for the school talent show i wanted to do a mini fashion show but we have a time limit... 2 minutes
if someone has any ideas please tell me!

just dont do a runway, they take toooo long, how about if you get people to wear your clothes then have them line up on stage one at a time and turn, something quick like that, GOOD LUCK!

It's extremely difficult to get your designs out there at such a young age. But don't let it discourage you, if you really have a talent, you really have potential. Start out by maybe making some cute flyers and including examples of your clothing on the page. Post them around school & include your phone # for people to call you.
Also, maybe make a website. An average domain costs about $15 a year. Have you thought of a name? You could make it www."design-name-here".com. Or even try www.freewebs.com for a FREE website.
I DEFINITELY suggest that you do the talent show. Designing is a MAJOR talent. You can be the announcer & come out at the end & ask your friends to model for you. It would be a lot of fun for you guys PLUS an excellent advertising opportunity. Make sure to include in your speech that you will make & sell clothes for anyone. :)

wear your creations chances are, if they are good people ask you where you got them. which gives you the chance to say you made them. ask them if they want an original piece created by you the fewer people have them the more they are wanted. the more people see them, the more the want.

You can have a very mini fashion show for the talent show. Bring out "models" (your friends) and have them stand there and show people the outfits and talk a little abou it. Then after the talent show you can hand out business cards so people can call you and ask for you to make stuff and such. I hope I helped!

Getting your work and clothes out there for the world to know is easy! Try making flyers that has some pictures of the work you've done and handing them out. If your fashion show in school is only 2 minutes. After school, Make notices to people and try to plan out YOUR OWN fashion show at your house or in your garage or front lawn. Look up desginers agencies in the phone book and make an appointment to get your clothes out there more. Try online " parson's school of design" It's great school to go to and major in. Have your friends model some of your clothes if you want. But most importantly. Get your name on those clothes! don't let anyone steal your style.

I think that doing it at a talent show would be GREAT! That's such an awesome idea, you should really do it even if you only have a 2 minute time limit. You should explain at first that your a fashion designer & the clothes that are going to be modeled are created by YOU! Then get a few girls and guys to model everything, and explain all the clothes, like have them go around in a circle, and then have one of them stop in the middle & explain what their wearing. Hopefully you do that, because that's such a cool idea, and you'll definitely stick out with that awesome idea.
