the yellow part of the egg, I know, is the fattest part of the egg. What about the white part? That's suppose to be the healthiest, right?

The yolk of the egg contains a bulk of the vitamins and minerals found in eggs. Whole Eggs as far as their Net Protein Utilization rate goes are rated a perfect 100 since they contain all of the essential amino acids that our body needs and cannot manufacture. Amounts of fat, protein, etc. all depend on the size of the egg. If you are dieting include 1 or 2 yolks in with the whites because they contain good fat as well as bad fat and 2 very good Fat-soluble vitamins in A and E. Contrary to popular belief, ingestion of cholesterol does not raise our bad cholesterol level, but rather ingestion of saturated fats causes this. Definitely include eggs along with the yolks because they are among the healthiest natural foods you can eat.

The yellow part of the egg contains 5 grams of fat. The white is pure protein. The yellow parts contains more vitamins. Like A and E, and Omega 3. It is healthy, but if you are trying to cut down on fat and cholesterol, then you should limit the # of egg yokes you have. As the other person indicated. Omelettes made with one egg yoke and three egg whites are very good.

The yellow part is the yolk. It's the part from which a chicken embryo would grow if the egg was fertilized, and it contains a lot of cholesterol - so yes, that's the relatively unhealthy part.

The white part is the "white". It nourishes the growing embryo, and it's the healthier part of the egg for a human being to eat.
