Just chiming in; most people here are right on the money. Rinsing with salt water will help, by killing bacteria in your mouth (which slow down the healing process). Hydrogen peroxide is extremely useful, too; it reacts to infection and bubbles it out. By the way, hydrogen peroxide is what your own white cells use to kill infection in your body. In tiny, tiny amounts, of course.
Hydrogen peroxide is EXTREMELY cheap; you can pick up a bottle of the generic stuff in any drugustore. Make sure that the bottle specifically says that it can be used orally, or as a mouthwash.
Now, peroxide does have a drawback: it doesn't have a strong flavor, but it has a really nasty aftertaste. So I recommend mixing it with an equal amount of mouthwash.
Apart from that, make sure to stay well hydrated by drinking lots of water. Rinse your mouth with the peroxide/mouthwash combo just before going to bed. You'll probably be *amazed* by how much better your mouth feels the next morning.
Good luck! ]
heyyyy you can rinse your mouth with warm salt water DONT SWALLOW the water rinse for about 1 minute
hope i helped <3333 ]
Gargle (not swallow) some hydrogen peroxide a few times a day. Your tounge is one of the fastest places to heal. Though it might sting some, the peroxide will kill any germs / bacteria and promote healing. If you have cuts on your gums, you can put teething gel [for babies] on it, but I wouldn't put it on your tounge. Don't worry, it might be painful now, but it'll soon heal.

hmm whenever i get cut i eat ice and i also rinse my mouth with mouthwash it might sting a little but its worth it ]
Ice will numb it and make it less painful.
Other than that you could use mouthwash, or if it's really sore teething gel for babies may help.
Your tounge/mouth is one of the quickest places on your whole body to heal so you should be fine in no time!
Take care

Gargling some hydrogen peroxide would help. Mouthwash would too (it contains alcohol).
Don't worry too much. It will probably be better in the morning. ]
Swish some hydrogen peroxide around on your tongue. It kills bacteria, oxygenates, and promotes healing. (it does sting some) ]
hii i did the same thing last month i dont think theres any way 2 make it heal any faster but it should heal in about 1 or 2 daysz no need 2 worry

Tongues do heal very fast, compared to other parts of your body. Just drink lots of nice cold water and you'll be fine. ]
