New words?

Question Posted Monday August 15 2005, 10:38 pm

I use the words: incredible, awesome, beautiful and amazing all the time. I was wondering if you knew any words that mean basically the same thing, but are different?

If you go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) there is a search box at the top. Enter a word and click the circle that says "Thesaurus", then click search.

That will take you to a page that lists both synonyms and antonyms of the different definitions of a word, and also other words that have your word in their list of synonyms and antonyms. This is a very handy place.

As for words I found, here is a small list (sorry for any duplicates):

ace, astonishing, astounding, awe-inspiring, extraordinary, fab, fabulous, fantasmo, far-out, glorious, great, prodigious, superhuman, unreal, wonderful, boss, exceptional, fantastic, gnarly, heavy, marvelous, outstanding, phenomenal, primo, remarkable, singular, stupendous, terrific, wicked, wonderful, bang-up, best, breathtaking, cool, crack, dilly, doozie, extravagant, first class, greatest, groovy, immense, in spades, legendary, mind-blowing, out-of-this-world, outrageous, peachy, prodigious, rad, spectacular, striking, super, superb, top drawer, tops, unbelievable, unreal, wondrous.

That's just using the word "incredible" with the thesaurus. I'm sure there are more using the other words. ;-)
