i have one at home and all you have 2 put in it is water and it stays straight for like 2 days and a half!!!! ]
Well, my straightner isn't $130 but all you need to straighten your hair is a straightner. Maybe someone told you that cause their hair is sensitive and gets frizzy whenever she straightens it. If that's the case with you, just buy some mosse at CVS for $8...Hope I helped =D ]
OMG I just bought that same hair straightener today! Is it the CHI one? They told me I was supposed to put something on my hair and I bought this smoothing system stuff, but I didn't even use it and it turned out great. I love the straightener though, it's awesome. :-)

Mmm... no. It's not. Some people use Hair Silk, which helps protect your hair from the heat and makes it shinier, and some people use a holding spray (sometimes I do), which helps hold the straightness into your hair and protect it from humidity; but neither product is REQUIRED. It's totally up to you. If you use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner every night (or day), you should be okay. That's usually what I do. Aveda makes a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. :-)

No thats not true. I have hair silk though. I mean its not greese or oil but it makes your hair shiny and healthier so it doesnt get damaged from the heat and stuff. It makes my hair softer and it smells good. But no, you dont have to buy any products at all. If you want to you can get it. I got mine at Sally Beauty store.. and I also got this spray. They are both called Ion and they work great! ]

i dont use any oil when i straighten my hair and i have wavy/curly hair and it comes out nice and straight so i dont really think you need the oil
if you need anything else drop one in my inbox ♥ ]
i have this dove stuff you can buy at grocery stores that's like "straightening" gel, but it's definately not neccessary. what you do is wash your hair, dry it. make sure it's completely dry and then you can juss straighten it with the straightner alone. the gel and stuff is juss if you want it like extra straight.
-hope that helped! ]
okay, yea never heard of any oil or whatever, mine works perfect on my curly hair and it was only 50$ yours should work perfect!
hope that helps!
