Question Posted Tuesday August 9 2005, 2:35 pm

Everytime i shave my legs it hurts because of my razor bumps or burns whatever they're called. How do i get rid of razor burns because everytime i look at my legs i see little red dots where my hair would grow in. So is there anything i can buy or do to make my razor marks/burns/bumps go away?

When you shave you're pressing down to hard or your legs don't have enough soap or gel or cream on them. Dry shaving or just shaving with water causes those bumps. Make sure you're using shaving cream, gel, conditioner, of even soap and make sure your whole leg is covered. Then use aftershave.

Since you're getting razor burn, it seems like you're just shaving with water. If you are, I'd suggest to stop doing that. Make sure you shave with shaving gel and a good razor. If you don't have shaving gel, just use soup. A lot of girls do get little dots, so don't feel like you're the only one. After you're done shaving take some hand cream and rub it on your legs. It'll keep your legs moisturized and will prevent red dots.

You cant get rid of razor burns. They will eventually heal. When you get those bumps like redish and it looks like the hair will grow soon it just means you need to use a better and sharper razor. After you're done shaving always put some lotion on the skin so its smoother.

Okay, well all you need to do is put lotion on it daily, and not shave for a few days. They should go away. And the reason you have razor burn is probably because you're razor is dull.
