Living with a drunk!!!
Okay my dad is an alcoholic!! He has been all my life!! He drinks right before he comes home from work and he gets so waisted on the weekends!! I've dealt with this all my life!! HE has never been there for me and when he tries he's drunk and I don't want nothing to do with him. Sometimes I just wish him and my mom would get a divorce I think she would be a lot happier. My brothers have been doing drugs for the past 3 years so that doesn't help either but they are working on getting there life straight and they are trying. My dads not!! How do I get him to change? I know it would take a long time but he hasnt even shown progress and he hasnt even tried. I'm about to be 16 and those years with him are nothing...he has never been there and now its like I dont care and I will never be close to him!! What should I do?!?

talk to him sometime when he's sober (maybe when he first wakes up) before he heads for the fridge for a beer and say "Dad i have to talk to you" and go from there. i hope he stops for his health and yours.

talk to your mom about it. and try to talk to your dad sumtime wen hes sober. tell him that your really worried about him. that u want him to try and change because hes scaring you. its good that your bro's r trying to change im happy for them.hope i helped XoXo

WOW i am sorry to hear that well my dad is not a alchoalic bud hey i think you should talk to your mom (yes mom) ask her is she likes living with him if she does there is nothing you can do abut it expect chill out on it bud if your mom dont like it. you are abut to be 16 you might have a car drive around look for apartments and make sure its away from your dad because he might try to find you bud i know this will work out good dont worry if you neet more advice you can always ask me or my girlfriend WoW i am really sorry hope things get better;[

My mom smokes and i always try to get her to stop...but it dont work..I just go awya and dont talk to her when she does..i hate it i know how you feel...look for help too like a counsleor

my dad is an alcoholic too. so i know how it is. you can't change the way an alcoholic is.
but tell your mom to maybe talk to him. or tell him he needs help for his problem.

Hey. When your dad is drunk on the weekends and things start to get a little scary. Call the cops on him. I no its hard but its tough love. Do the same with your brothers if they r not getting any better. What if something happens to one of them when there dunk or high? Do it for them!
