Cross Country

Question Posted Thursday August 4 2005, 5:05 pm

I'm 17/f/Michigan and I'm in cross country. There's this girl who keeps running behind me in every race and every practice, she tries to keep up with me, and when I slow down she slows down etc. How can I stop her? It's really annoying

Just tell her that you don't feel comfortable with her running behind her in the way she does. Tell her that you would rather she try to keep her distance from you, or at least not dictate her speed by what speed you're running (as in, you don't want her to slow down JUST because you slowed down).
♥ Hope I helped.

Ask her way she is following you. there has to be some reason why this is happening.Maybe she wants to be your friend and is just to shy to say it. Just ask her why she is following you and tell her that it is bothering you and ask her to stop.

Hope I Helped :)

Theres really know way to stop her.. i'd say that maybe she looks up to you and wants to be like you which can sometimes get annoying.. just let her do it.. and just run your race at your pace and ignore that she's behind you.. take it as a challenge/motivation to run faster.. hope i helped

Tell her that you're trying to focus on RUNNING, and she's distracting you. If she doesn't stop, tell a coach that it's effecting your skills.

well i guess she looks up to you and wants to be able to say that she can keep up with you. just tell her to race you and try to be faster, not slower than you. hope this helps! <3

why dont you just talk to her bout it or when you are in a race complety stop and then she will run pass you before she realizes it then if she stops for you then take off if she doesnt then loose the race and your problem is solved

My friends do cross-crountry I heard its hard work. Well lets see you can tell the person how you feel about them doing what they do even if it means getting in their face. Or next time for a practice run run behind her or try to. And Last try to be a friend maybe she just wants to be your friend even if you don't like to girl give it a try and work something out. Good Luck.
