hi, i got this out of a teen people magizine! all you do is take the jeans that you want to be a skirt and mesure down how long you want it. then cut it there and rip the seem all the way up to the croch. next you take some of the meterial that you cut off and sew it were there is no meterial, on the front and on the back, be sure to sew it on the in side. Also hem the bottem of the skirt!! I have done it before and it looks really cute! you can even make it looked destryoed a little thats what i did!
i hope i helped

well wouldnt the skirt be too short. because you would have to cut where the pants seperate.

Cut the pants straight across both legs at the length you want the skirt. Then, cut up each leg on the INSIDE (called the inseam) to the waist. Then just flatten it out and sew it together.

If you're good with sewing then you should be able to do it. Cut the jeans up to around your thighs then cut the inside leg part out of the jeans. Then sew down the middle, [front & back] and make some kind of design so that it's less visible. Good luck!

all you have to do is right where the legs of the pants are just cut or you could cut anywhere on leg and then just cut the down the middle on the bottom and its a skirt!!

HERE ARE S0ME DiRECTi0NS

What you need:
Old pair of jeans
Scissors
Seam ripper
Needle and thread or sewing machine
Decorations - lace, sequins, ribbons, paint, etc. (optional)
Fabric glue

What you do:
1. Cut off the waistband and discard.
2. Cut the legs off to the desired length of the skirt. Bear in mind that clothes get shorter when worn so it is better to cut too long, then take off more after trying it on.
3. Using a seam ripper, undo the front crotch seam from the hem to the zipper, and the inside leg from hem to seat.
4. Lay the skirt flat and pin the right front piece over the left to form a skirt front, tucking under the seam allowance. The front hem will have a gap as the legs sit further apart than they did as jeans. Sew by hand or with a machine.
5. Turn it over and pin the back legs with one over the other and sew the back of the skirt. Make sure that there's no pucker at the seat where the two pieces meet.
6. Try the skirt on and mark the hemline. The skirt can be hemmed for a cleaner look or left as is for a deconstructed look.
7. Decorate the skirt. You can use paint, lace, ribbons, sequins, buttons or anything that suits your fancy.

You need to cut along the inside seam of the pants. then turn it all inside-out, fold in the cut material, and sew from the inside. If you are a good sewer, you can make the new seam look like an old one. Then you fold it right-side-out again, and the cuts are hidden by the seam and are inside the skirt. Sorry if it didn't make any sense.

yea! its not too hard... but it takes a long time.. find out how short you warnt it and mark it.. then cut it... once you cut it (they should look somewhat like shorts) turn them inside out and use a seam ripper to rip the seam from the crotch part an leg part of your pants then sew togther the pieces from the leg and cut off the extras from the bottom.. heres a link with some pictures.. hope i helped...

The first thing you do is cut the legs off at the right length you want the skirt... than u cut out the middle and try them on you might have the hem the bottom so they don't fall apart.
-I hope this makes sence
