Then once your cool with that sing in the car with you parents, then once your fine sing along with friends. soon you'll be singing everywhere you go and youll love it. But you have to have confidence. Once you are ok with all that, try out for a talent show. youll be singing in front of people in no time! JustAskAlli answered Friday July 29 2005, 7:45 pm: Its called stage fright. I honestly don't know how people overcome it, but eventually when they get used to the fact that their singing in front of people a lot, their used to it, and the fright goes away. Try singing for your friends and show them how good you are, build some confidence, then step by step, you'll eventually get more people.

Bridget_Bee10692 answered Friday July 29 2005, 6:57 pm: You sound just like me. At my school we do musicals and I really wanted to make one but I am really afraid to sing in people. So one night we went to a hockey game and there was a contest. You had to sing kareoke. I listened for a little and then I decided to go for it. I didn't win but hey, I lost my stage fright and got confident... every night sing in your bed, the shower, and in front of your family, so when a special once in a lifetime opporatunity comes along, you won't turn it down! Hope that helps...
piinkqlitter answered Friday July 29 2005, 6:33 pm: Hey, well im rockng that same boat, but im not shy, listen to get over your fear, you need to be more presentable, try talking to diffrent people in yur school, try out for the school talent show, i know its hard, i started singing in 2nd grade for every talent show i got, and now im not shy. i know it seems wierd but just try it.
dmbabie answered Friday July 29 2005, 6:33 pm: well, what you should do is do some research and look for a place close to your town where you can get singing lessons. once you're confident about your skills, it will be a lot easier to sing in front of people. also, try going to music/singing classes, you will have to sing in front of people, but it won't be a big crowd, or try to participate in a musical. little things like that will eventually help you get over your fear.

rikatree2375 answered Friday July 29 2005, 6:29 pm: Sounds to me like you should get a voice teacher to instruct you. My sister is going to major in voice performance next year in college so i understand your fears!!! You can conquer your shyness by performing more!!! (i'm also in music so i know a lot about stage fright) Start by singing for a few people and build from there. A performer can't afford to be shy so take courage and just go with it!!!
