me & my best friend.
okay. so i like this guy. he just happens to be my best friend. the other night, my friend ( ally ) got on my screen name ( i was there too ) and told him that i thought he was hott. and then she was like do you think im hott? *remember, she was pretending to be me and wouldnt let me say anything to him...* he responded by saying, i would go out with you. it was kind of a shocker. no, it was a shocker. because 01-hes my best friend. and 02-no guys ever want to go out with me. or even consider it. and so i was kind of dazed for a little while. and then, i told him that ally said all of it. but he seemed like dissapointed that it wasnt me. today i was going to tell him that i actually do like him & all, but i never got the chance. its just akward. but i dont want our friendship to be ruined by it if we date. so i just want to know other peoples points of view. please!!

I don't think it will ruin your friendship. In most cases like this, the breakuops aren't messy. If he's your best friend, he'll be more honest with you, and is WAY less likely to cheat on you, or pressure you to do things you don't want. Go for it! Tell him Ally said it because you didn't have the guts to, but you meant all of it.

I think it would be okay for you to date. You will have to talk to him face to face this time because he may just think it is your friend again if you try via the net again. Your boyfriend should be your best friend :)

I think you should tell him, and you should go for it. If he's your best friend, you guys obviously enjoy eachother's company. And you like him, and he said that he likes you (or that he'd go out with you). I don't think a friendship can get ruined by just one date (well, a lot would have to go down that night, but I think everything would be fine). Ask him if he wants to hang out soon and just tell him how you feel. Tell him that whatever Ally said, is what you think. Good luck with whatever happens!

my point of view...is i think you would regret it if you two didnt date..because you would keep thinking to yourself:
"you know what? we both liked each other..i wonder how things would have been if we dated..i wish i took that chance..."
live with no regreets...go for it!
living a life without taking some chances is a life unlived. when you break up..yes things might be weird..but its nothing you cant fix. i mean eventually things would get back to normal..but dont even worry about that right now..date him! start a new adventure..a new chapter in the wonderful book of life. just my opinion

I think he's just disappointed that you weren't the one asking the questions and showing the interest personally. I would talk to him in person and let him know that while you weren't the one typing, you still feel the same and would be interested in giving it a try.
