play hard to get....bacause every guy that I have ever talked to always said that girls who play hard to get are hot. But first you have to get his attention and stop and say hi...since he is shy you might have to make the first move. Let him know that you are interested (without being forward). Then he will be interested in you and then you play hard to get.

Okay many girls would just say "be yourself" but a lot of people want more then to hear that. If he's really shy, make the first move. By "move" I mean start talking to him randomly, and don't feel nervous about it. Sometimes we have to start conversations first, and that's sometimes the only way to get to know a shy guy. If you're too nervous to talk to him in person, just ask him for his screename on AIM or MSN, and then you can chat online.
You shouldn't try to get him to like you though, because if a guy is supposed to like a girl, he will. Just keep getting to to know him, and then when you're comfy enough to talk to him, ask him out. Give him a flirty smile, showing your teeth. When you talk to him, touch his arm, etc.
