Actually, it's not really recommended that you shave your pubic hair. It's there for a reason, the same reason you have hair on your head and eyebrows and eyelashes. The prickly hairs are probably ingrown hairs or the parts of hairs you didn't shave off pushing towards the surface. This will cause itching and irritation. The best way is *not* to shave it right away, because you'll just be shaving skin - hence, the bleeding. You should probably exfoliate first with a loofah or some kind of lotion with salt or sugar in it as an exfoliant (make sure you're unallergic, first), these will expose the hairs. Wait for them to grow a bit and then shave, if you must. But you ought to consider letting it grow out. It serves a hygienic purpose.

wait till it grows back and try again but be more gently and try using shaving cream and moisturising ofterwards or using baby oil. or you could use wax. its really easy and no nasty razor burn! just make sure you read the instructions carefully and it will be explained what to do!
hope i helped!

ok heres a suggestion. DO NOT SHAVE UP! you can shave sideways, DOWN, left or right but shaving up hurts too badly! or just wait to everything has grown back evenly (im talking like 4 days) then shave again

firstly dont shave quite so often, let the soreness settle. once all the redness has gone try using a different shaving cream/gel etc. you can get some for sensitive skin this should help you. eitha that or you can get some hair removal creams these work just as good and last longer as well. hope i was some help
~*~Lucee~*~

ps, some removal creams are suitable. just make sure that you get one that is ok to use! make sure you do read the 'fine print' and you will generally see that some creams are very safe to use. xXx
