I am in a wedding August 27, I am 5'3 and 120 pounds. My stomach isn't big but a little chubby. Does anyone know how I can tone it up in 5 weeks. Please Help, what can I do????
xdinGyxbaBex answered Thursday July 21 2005, 7:31 pm: Well you should walk and run around your town and do like 100 crunches a night and that should help !!
cookierat123 answered Thursday July 21 2005, 7:02 pm: alright this might be hard. but i think you can do it. do about 50 or more crunches a night before you go to bed and stuff like that. swimming is also good for that. you should also watch wat you eat as well. UncleBob answered Thursday July 21 2005, 6:40 pm: Forget the crunchies and situps bit. If you are willing to take a bit of pain and really want to tone up your stomach then this ARMY exercise is just the ticket, It is designed to do exactly what you want... And you can do it in the privacy of your own room.. Now take a deep breath and follow me...
Lay flat on your back on the floor with arms down by sides, and legs together
Now lift legs but only 6 to 8 inches off ground, hold for a minute then open legs only 12 inches. Hold for a minute, then close legs, hold for another minute, then gently lower to ground, rest for 1 minute and then repeat. Do this 10 times twice a day. I will admit that after the first couple of times it will hurt a bit in the stomach area. This is because the muscle groups are being pulled back into tension. But the pain will ease and you will see the benefits after only a week or so... You will need to be hard on yourself at first but it will get easier as the stomach tightens.. Trust me, This ia an age old way of doing exactly what you want... [ UncleBob's advice column | Ask UncleBob A Question ]
jcsgrlthe1st answered Thursday July 21 2005, 6:34 pm: run around your block a few times, get to a gym to get to a treadmill, do crunches, in order to tone it you need to do cardio. also give up soda and drink lots of water. you can do it! good luck with it!

Mackenzie answered Thursday July 21 2005, 6:26 pm: We'll staRt out with the obvious: exeRcises. A few good activities that can simply assist in poRpoRtioning the body in it's ENTIRTY would be anything that gets the blood ciRculation goin', such as jogging, jumping jacks, jumping Rope, and walking, and bicycle walking. Also, 'tis the season of wateR aeRobics, and they will woRk like a CHARM!!
And if you'd like to taRget youR tummie specifically, tRy doing a couple hundRed sit ups oR cRunches. I know, I know, I know.. 'a couple hundRed' is A LOT, but if you bReak it up into sessions, it's not that difficult, tRust me. I'm the Queen of lazy fuckeRs, so if I can do this, YOU can do this! :P
Also, pRoviding you cut out the EXTREMELY unhealthy foods, such as WHITE bRead [substitute it with wheat], cake pRoducts, ice cReam, hambuRgeRs, and soda... [if you'Re used to consuming A LOT of it] you can see a MAJOR diffeRence the fiRst two weeks, ALONE. My fRiend did it.. and we weRe both shocked to all hell!
As you pRobably alReady know, it's best to eat SEVERAL SMALL poRtions a day. Say, have an apple and a piece of cheese, two houRs lateR have a few cRakeRs, and an houR lateR have one piece of wheat toast, and so on and so foRth, ya know??? Little intakes of food like that givs youR body time to digest it pRopeRly. You see how that's betteR than eating one oR two huge meals a day... because it takes too long to catch up, and it can not buRn the caloRies quick enough, and then just quits, adding body fat.

Karen answered Thursday July 21 2005, 6:20 pm: You can do crunches and sit ups to tone your stomach. You can do other exercises and workouts but those are just two exercises that targets your stomach. There's a fitness section on this site, [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), so I'm sure there are workouts and tips there. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
