I was just wondering if anyone has used the Remington Straightner, the one that straightens wet hair. If so,does it actually work? Is there mcuh damage? Is 25-30 dollars a good price for it? I think I'll be getting the 2 inch one since my hair is longer & it is only 5 dollars more. And how straight does your hair get? Thanks in advance! i rate
X0C0URT answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 5:56 pm: My friend has that. It seems to work pretty good on her. She has extremely wavy hair so I don't think any straightener is going to get it perfectly straight, but if you're hair is kinda straight already
I've never used it when my hair is wet but when I have used it, it worked alright. I don't know I wouldn't buy it for myself, but if you think it would work for you go ahead and try it. However the best hair straightener (EVER!) is right here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). I know it's expensive but it's definitely the best.
Advice4teens answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 2:08 pm: Oh I used this! I loved it but I lost it. It works GREAT my hair was always hard to straighten and it seriously works really well. It is pinstraight and you can straighten it right when you get out of the shower. I used it all the time and my hair never got damaged. However I did use good conditioner every day so if you're gonna use this I would recommend using some good conditioner every single day. [ Advice4teens's advice column | Ask Advice4teens A Question ]
hailebop answered Tuesday July 19 2005, 7:22 am: I like my Remington straigteners, but I find that if I use them on extremely wet hair then I don't get the same results as I would when doing it from already dry hair - you end up having to go over everything a final time to get it really straight if you do it from wet, so it's best to wait until your hair is damp rather than soaking wet. I really haven't had a problem with them drying out my hair, but I've always used intensive conditioning treatments on my hair and been careful not to overuse the straigteners. If you are going to be using them every day, I'd advise taking extra caution and not using them to dry from soaking wet hair. If you run a hairdryer through your hair for a few minutes on a low-setting before running the straigteners through this will probably be quicker and better for your hair. My hair get really really stright and it frizzy and wavy and curly. my hair doesn't seem too damaged but if it starts too then i just use some good conditner and its fine..

SWANKiFiED answered Monday July 18 2005, 10:24 am: I use a similar straightener that straightens wet hair & yes, like any straightener it does tend to dry your hair out. That's about the same price as mine & yes, they are VERY effective. I reccomend waiting till your hair is "damp" instead of "soaking wet" because it'll straighten faster. To keep your hair healthy, make sure you get a "leave-in" conditioner that will moisturize. Also, I reccomend getting Garnier Fructis (sp?) Sleek & Shine products. They are all EXCELLENT!
