Hired & Fired in less than 30 seconds
So, I went in for a second interview & the manager really liked me so I got hired for a job but no more than 30 seconds later I was fired due to the only time I could arrive for work is 45 minutes after my shift starts due to the time my school lets out & drive time to get there. I can't work on Thursdays & Fridays because of Cheerleading related things. He guarenteed me a job in January when football season is over. He told me to call him if anything changed. I was thinking of calling him because I figured I could make it about 30 minutes late instead of 45 also, I could work on weekends if I couldn't get weekday hours. Should I call?

deffinatly have a job is better than nothing and make sure to tell him that when football season is over you can work whenever you are not in school

You should not call him till cheerleadin is ovr because I am in the same boat I do cheerin and once it is over I start my Job and it is so much easier and since it takes you along time to get there so why don't you find a job closer or wait till school is over and then get a job Rated me

Couldn't hurt to ask about the weekends. The coming in late thing doesn't work because it causes overtime for someone to wait until you arrive and most places frown on that. However you never can tell what you might work out once you get your foot in the door, so definitely call and ask if they can use weekend only help until after football season! :)

You could call. The manager may still give you the job since you can work weekends, and a lot of people refuse to work weekends. The best thing you can do is make sure on any other interviews to let the interviewer know up front that you can only work between certain hours.

Don't call, it's not worth it and you might start to annoy him. Just call in him in december just before football is over and make plans, or else, look for a job you can make it too.

That is just 15 minutes earlier and thats not a really big difference. You might get fired again or he just wont accept that. Well I would wait until the season was over or you could just talk to the manager and let him know your plan. Maybe he owuld let you have the job again. Just call to make sure. ll ♥ ll

i wouldnt call..because your boss is looking for someone who can be on time..sure everyone is late now and then but being 30 minutes late regularly is too much. during the school year i would like to get a job but with everything i have going on in school i cant..a job is a big commitment and being on time is a major thing
