well this is different but it works for me, i have the garnier fructice shine serum and if you put in in, it defines the curls a lot. something to make it a bit less poofy, put it in a half ponytail in a clip. hope this helps! <3

Oh girl. I totally feel you on this. I have really thick curly hair too. Anything that has to do with the Aussie brand is amazing. I really suggest their mouse or spy. It works really well. There's also hair products out there that you can buy that will defind your curls. You might want to go to your local store that holes hair products and checking it out. I'm sure you'll be able to find something that definds your curls, and doesn't leave them hard and such like mouse usually does.

there's nothing wrong with puffy, but i understand. you can soak your hair in water and dry it off wit a towel just a lil bit. then, flip your hair over and put mousse in it and all over it. Then, spray it with hairspray then style it and lastly spray it wit more hair spray. god luck

Try using a gel. Such as the L.A Looks sport gel. It has an extra hold to where it wont look puffy. My brother has real puffy and curly hair too. It works!!!!

Try:

1. When you get out of the shower, and your hair is wet. Spray hairspray- I sugguest VO5 Detangle and Shine on your hair. Comb it out and then smooth John Frieda Frizz Serum or some kind of frizz control on your hair.
2. For everyday curl and frizz control use Garnier Fructise Smoothing Milk.
3. Use Dove Shampoo because Dove works for and mosturizes any type of hair.
4. You might want to use a hot water straightener like one from conair for when you have more time.

Hide you curls with a cute hairstyle. Try going to:

I have thick curly hair too. And I've learned that if you brush your hair when it's dry, it'll make it puffy. I learned about tat once and it surprised me, but I tried it and it helped a lot. There's also a product that I'v used, it's called Full Frame (07) by Redken. It's supposed to be a volumizing mousse, but it's different then other mousse, and it doesn't really volumize, but insted defines your curls and makes them less puffy. Hope I helped.
