My dream come true?
Well Its always been my dream to make a cd and have it in stores and like all that stuff! well I have gotten this offer and I can get this thing its like a record deal.. you make a cd and everything and it goes in stores ALL over the world.. but its just to see how many people will like you.. and id make about $7,000.. which is like nothing.. but if alot of people got my cd.. Id get an actualy record deal and more money.. so my question is.. Should I go for that or should I just make a demo and send it to a bunch of record lables and then try to get signed by a big record lable?

In my opionion it sounds like it could be a scam. There are alot out there and your at a vunerable age. Is it a company that offerd you this? who ever has made this offer, check them out on the internet and find out as much information as you can. also, read very carefuly through the contract and get a lawyer to aswell, they'll be able to suss out if its a good deal or not.
I'm guess this company or whoever wants your money first, be very wary of that because if it is a scam they'll take your money and run. Check out that their phone number and address is genuine too.

Try the deal where you make 7,000 first and if that doesnt work...then you can always do the demo thing too! AsH!

Aw .. congratulations!! If I were you I would take the offer that you got. You get money and you could possibly get a record deal! A lot of big record deals get hundreds of demos daily. So it could be a while til` they get to yours. So your best bet would be to go with the offer that you got! I wish you the best of luck with everything tho!

you should go to like a nearby mall and give it to random people... and say hey this is for you... its not much but i was curious if people would like this stuff... if you ever have to time please listen to it... and please come back with results... and like give them an email thats yours..

Definitely do the Cd now, and just don't get signed and bound by a contract. You better make it good, becasue you will have no career if it doesn't sell. Isn't that what you would acheive pretty much with a demo?

I'd say to take the offer. And while your undergoing the offer, send some demo tapes to other record deals. Then, maybe you'll be able to have $7,000 and a record deal! I bet it will all work out! i'd definitely take that offer, it's a great opportunity! so you don't make that much, it's still a good learning experience with the business and you'll get a lot of exposure. if people do like you, then you'll get an actual record deal, so you're skipping a step by doing this instead of sending a demo to record labels. good luck to you!

i think you should go for it and even if it doesn't sell that well you will have a good demo to send out to record companies to try to get signed. if nothing else this chance will let you gain insight into the music industry and how music is made, edited and all that jazz. Be very carful that you aren't getting scammed and make sure you look over any documents VERY carfully before signing. Good Luck in your career.

defently talk to it with your parents ((if under18)) but if not get a lawyer to look at anything you are going to sign. the record bussiness is filled with people just out there for unsespecting people's money.
hope i didnt put a damper on your dream! lol. but i would say go for the $7,000 one if the lawyer//parents say it is okay and everything.
