This is a totally plausable goal, if you set your mind to it. There are three areas that you need to work on. First, your mind and emotional health. You need to realize that you aren't fat... and then you need to set up realistic goals to accomidate your life and daily schedual. Stick to the routine. Some people find it helpful to put sticky notes on their fridge saying,"I want to loose XX pounds by DATE, eat healthy!" Which helps them to stay away from the junk food other family members might have in the fridge. It'll be hard to convince yourself to stay away from the junk foods you like so much, or to get up at whatever time every morning to run... but you must push and discipline yourself.

Next, eating. Drink water instead of soda. One should always drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This helps to flush out toxins and other things that your body doesn't need(and it makes your skin softer and more radiant). Try to follow the food pyramid as far as fruits and veggies go. Limit your meat and breads, and other carbs. Try to make an eating schedual. For example: Monday Breakfast, bowl of healthy-nut cereal and a banana with orange juice. Monday Lunch salad. Monday Dinner small portion of chicken breast, green beans, corn, potato. And do this for the whole week. Try to eat about 5 to 6 small meals a day rather than 3 larger meals. And if you do stick to a dinner with the family, make sure it's several hours before you go to bed. Breakfast should be the largest meal of the day, not dinner... after dinner most people laze around and watch television and then go to bed. While sleeping their food turns into fat and settles... if breakfast if your biggest meal of the day, you wear it all off with errands and other activities.

Finally exersize. Like the food... you should make a schedual for this. ALWAYS stretch before working out. Include perhaps one hour of walk/jogging. And then choose other activities as well... Monday you could go biking(which will help firm your tush). Tuesday could be sit-up and push-up day. Wednesday could be aerobics, and so on and so forth. I reccomend speaking with a live professional if you are very serious about it. Local gyms are great. However, if you want to do your own activities on your own, there are several helpful websites that can give you at-home exersizes. Although, it is much easier to follow through with self-made scheduals if you have someone to do it with.

you could certainly do it, as long as you are dedicated and stick to working out. you should run a mile in the morning, or in the evening. after a while when you're not AS out of breath and you are more comfortable increase the distance to 1 and 1/2 miles or 2 miles, and slowly work your way up. running is really good to stay in shape. cut the portions of food you eat in half. go to a gym, and see if there is anyone that works there that could lead you to the right stuff that would help you lose weight. places like gyms usually have a bullitein board with classes on them, sign up for as many as you are intrested in and are willing to do. have your family help you, have your mom make meals that are healthy for everyone! if you feel like slacking off one day realize that you're going to have have to work 10x as hard to make up for it the next day. give yourself a break on sunday.

good luck, and i hope you get where you want to be with your weight! ♥

If your worried about u eating too much.. i know how u feel. Instead of snacking chew on some gum. As for working out, walk/run around your block a few times. When i thought i was fat i ran a mile every other day. I lost weight easily. Good luck <33

Well there's mainly 2 parts in weight-loss -Exercising and healthy eating.

Exercising-
Walking Aerobics is a great way to lose body fat. I do them everyday and you really do see improvements. I use a video to work out to, but you can buy books also. Running/jogging is always good, but if you don't have a lot of time I wouldn't suggest it. You have to work out for 30 minutes and then after that you start to loose the fat. Seventeen Magazine has a workout in each issue that works on a different area every month. Sometimes what I do is alternate their workouts everyday so that i get toned all over. Or you could go to a fitness center (Curves, Bally, etc) and do some of the classes there, use their equipment, or get a personal trainer.

Eating-
Although you should stay away from some carby foods, if you use portion control you can have some of those foods you like. For example, if your watching a movie you could:
a. pop a bag of popcorn
b. pop a bag of SmartPop (less carbs/cals)
c. put some Smartpop in a small bowl and get another bowl thats less full for the second half if you still want some.
You should pick C. if your watching a movie with a bag of popcorn in front of you, your going to reach for it and end up eating the whole bag even if your not hungry.

If you still want sweets, theres a million products out there that are carb/cal consious so try a couple ones and find one you like. Cut out soda .. if you really need it, they have products like Pepsi 1 that's only 1 calorie. Also, theres Ice Tea thats only 5 calories per serving. They have such good flavors (Tangerine Strawberry is SO good.) Good luck!
