Although I'm only 13, I've been through a lot of things. I haven't done drugs or had sex, but I was heading down the path of anorexia/bulemia for a while. Along with that I've also had relationship problems, tanning problems[BAD experience], friend problems, and all other problems. I'm not going to sugarcoat things so only ask a question if you want the truth.

okay well here it goes. Im 5'3 and i weight about 190(i know im fat) but i wanna go down to about 140. I want to loose it by Christmas. Does any one know any tips on how i can loose the weight and some exercises that will help along the way? please let me know im really want to loose weight.

Well there's mainly 2 parts in weight-loss -Exercising and healthy eating.

Exercising-
Walking Aerobics is a great way to lose body fat. I do them everyday and you really do see improvements. I use a video to work out to, but you can buy books also. Running/jogging is always good, but if you don't have a lot of time I wouldn't suggest it. You have to work out for 30 minutes and then after that you start to loose the fat. Seventeen Magazine has a workout in each issue that works on a different area every month. Sometimes what I do is alternate their workouts everyday so that i get toned all over. Or you could go to a fitness center (Curves, Bally, etc) and do some of the classes there, use their equipment, or get a personal trainer.


Eating-
Although you should stay away from some carby foods, if you use portion control you can have some of those foods you like. For example, if your watching a movie you could:
a. pop a bag of popcorn
b. pop a bag of SmartPop (less carbs/cals)
c. put some Smartpop in a small bowl and get another bowl thats less full for the second half if you still want some.
You should pick C. if your watching a movie with a bag of popcorn in front of you, your going to reach for it and end up eating the whole bag even if your not hungry.

If you still want sweets, theres a million products out there that are carb/cal consious so try a couple ones and find one you like. Cut out soda .. if you really need it, they have products like Pepsi 1 that's only 1 calorie. Also, theres Ice Tea thats only 5 calories per serving. They have such good flavors (Tangerine Strawberry is SO good.) Good luck!

I'm currently going to cheer camp everyday for 9 hours a day for my squad. (Ive been going for 2 weeks) I'm so tired and so worn out I dont know if I can take it anymore. I'm very sore from all the jumps, stretching etc., But my coach wants me to push through but I dont know if I can take it anymore, I've already pulled my hamstring, and bruised my big toe (stunting), and my shoulder(while tumbling). What should I do? (I still have 2 more weeks of it!)


Cheer camp pushes you hard but thats because you need to be your best for the squad. Whenever practice is done for the day, take a hot bath with some candles, take a nap, get a facial,get a mani or pedi(they may not let you .. they don't let us.. but i always get a pedicure because they never see it anyways),meditate, or anything else that will help you relax. Stay strong!

okay, so i wanna highlight my hair. i usually go and get it done, but i wanna do it myself this time. however, i dont really have the time to go out and buy stuff for it right now. so does any one know, stuff at home that i could use and how to hi-light it, and not make it look like crap?!

I honestly wouldn't do it yourself but if you really want to, theres this stuff called Sun In that you can get anywhere for like $2. My friend uses it and it works good. All you do is spray it on wet hair and then when your laying out in the sun it highlights it. Or you can put beer in your hair. You just pour it in your hair and then rinse it out and it should highlight a bit.

Hello Advicenators. I've been making an Image Gallery for a long time ago. I first started off with making it myself. Then I went to using Coppermine (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/), it let's you make your own image gallery with ease. But every free host I had was very unreliable (They all eventually closed down, losing my mysql databases with them..).

So now I'm back to making my own Image Gallery by hand (Well...by mouse I guess). If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself.

QUESTION: I just would like some advice on how to organize it. What do you think is best? Organizing it by date, or by, categories (like family, friends, pets, etc), or by both, or by years, or by size, or something? Please be descriptive. Thanks!


What I found works best is if you organize it by Friends, Family, Family events, Friend events, Pets, etc. Then if your doing a Family category, organize it by the oldest pictures you have to the more recent ones at the end. With that said, I'm assuming your using a host that lets you have categories and then the pictures inside the categories (some hosts just make you slap them together on one page.) If thats the case, just contact me and I can send you some good websites.

I'm kinda scared of shots, and tomorrow i have to go to the doctor to get a physical and i have to get a tetnis shot. im freaking out. do u have any tricks to help me relax or to numb the pain? i need some advice asap b/c the appointment's tomorrow morning. thx!

I'm scared to death of shots too so I know exactly how you feel. Whatever you do, don't build the shot up to be "Oh my gosh I'm so scared I'm gonna die!!" or anything negative. If you do, when the shot comes your gonna be even more nervous. Just relax and think of maybe a good time you had with uour friends or something your looking forward to. Take deep breaths, or anything to calm you down and take your mind off the shot. Don't worry, it's not bad at all.

Hey my friend and I have been friends for a long time. We promised to be best friends forever. Lately though, I feel as if we've grown apart. Just recently we have been going to different middle schools and we won't be meeting up until high school. We haven't been talking to each other much lately, even though we're out for summer break. How can I help improve our relationship?



Well you shouldn't wait for her to make the first move and call you. Just casually call her and make up a plan to go do something alone together. I wouldn't invite anyone else or a big group because then you won't have a lot of time to catch up on things. As long as you get the ball rolling, it will get easier from there. Trust me, I've been going through the same thing with my best friend too, and it always works.

Can someone please give me an intellegent answer to y people cut? It makes no sense to me. The only conclusion i have come to is mental/emotional weakness.

People cut or hurt themselves physically because of emotional feelings. They find cutting as a stress relief. As if when the blood flows, their pain and stress is taken away. For example, I'm sure you have complained about something such as a tooth-ache. A friend might have pinched you or caused you to hurt so that you are focused on that pain, not the one you were feeling from the tooth-ache. It's the same thing for cutting. By hurting themselves, it makes their emotional hurt feel not as bad. Hope I helped.
