SoInToYoUx0x answered Tuesday June 21 2005, 1:20 pm: i think it is when you are ready and can handle it. each person matures at a different age so everyone is different. i think 16 is about the right age. i dont think girls at the age of 12 or 13 should be doing it though. you should in a realtionship with a guy for about a year or so and be in love with him to do that. hope this helps.

xXxpinky615xXx answered Tuesday June 21 2005, 1:15 pm: It's not about what age is appropriate. It's a matter of opinion and readyness. Say at the age of 15, you are madly in love and you have been with the guy for a while and you want to take your relationship to the next level. Then do it. The way I see it, it doesn't matter what age you are, as long as you love the person, they love you and you are READY to take it to that level and are READY to handle the responcibilities that may come along with it EX: Disease, pregnancy, etc. Having sex just to say OH I lost my virginity, is messed up. The first time you have sex, it shouldn't just be sex. It should be making love and that's how it should be everytime. But I think regardless, an age that is wayyy too young is 13. I found out that the national age for girls to lose their virginities is 12 That's effing young. I'd say wait until you are with the guy for a year or close to it, that you are in love and then take it to that level. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]

rainbowcherrie answered Tuesday June 21 2005, 12:32 pm: As long as you are over the legal age of consent then it is appropriate to have sex. However, just because you are old enough, don't jump into bed with the first person you see. Wait until you are in a loving relationship, only then will it be really appropriate to have sex. JLyNn answered Tuesday June 21 2005, 12:19 pm: most people will say 16, but everyone has their own opinion. usually people have sex when they are ready for it. if you are going to have sex, just make sure your absolutely ready. and yeah usually 18 is okay, expecially if your out of high school because everything changes while your there.<33 [ JLyNn's advice column | Ask JLyNn A Question ]
Mengers answered Tuesday June 21 2005, 12:16 pm: I advise people to wait til after high school. Your life, views and opinions change dramatically and you may end up regretting some things you did in high school.
Other than that, just when you're ready but do be careful. Sex has consequences but usually if you don't wait til you're ready such as financial stand. [ Mengers's advice column | Ask Mengers A Question ]
