what if you are in the orchestra and can't get fake nails cuz it will mess up your playing..but i REALLY want some for school..so what should i do?!!?!

get them but tell the people doing them that you want them really short, and when you want them off make sure you go to a nail place to get them off cuz it will kill if you take them off yourself

Get the easy removale one like the one you can buy glue and take on and off really easy

What about getting your nails done on the summer. Caz i'm in orchestra it's pretty hard to play with fake nails. or u can quit the orchestra, but i don't think you should do that... i hope i helped!!=]

I was in oRchestRa foR yeaRs.. and NEVER saw a way aRound this. I don't think theRe's anything TO DO, ya know? It definitely does have an affect on youR playing, and I'm guessing youR teacheR won't even allow it. I guess you just have to ask youRself.. what's moRe impoRtant... fake nails.. oR oRchestRa...... I wouldn't worry about it. Five years from now, you won't remember having fake nails, but you will remember a great concert, or a favorite piece.

I'm in the orchestra, second chair 1st violin.
Being in tune is WAY more important than fake nails. If you get fake nails, you'll get that gay donkey sound from it and if your voilin doesn't sound good, then what's the point of even continuing orchestra? I LOVE orchestra, but that's just me. I'd wait till summer or just get a simple mani.

try them but cut them short so that they don't mess u up. put them on at home and then try to play the instrument and if it messes u up them cut them until they don't

well i got fake nails during vball season and i got the really cheap kind that are only supposed to last 3days so i put them on after practice then had them on the next day then took them off before practice on the 3rd day. hope this is an option for you! <3

Just wait till school is out because having fake/long nails makes you play really out of tune. I know that for a fact.
You could either
- get fake nails
- quit orchestra

Umm... Do you want fake nails because they're long? If so,You're out o' luck. I play in an orchestra as well, and long nails just really make you play out of tune. I paint my nails and get manicures anyway, but I keep 'em short. (You can still be glamorous.. or get attention.. or whatever you're aiming for w/out long or fake nails.)

Hey, well i have the same issue...since i play the Cello. What i would do is grow them out so they are still ok for playing, then go to the nail place and get fake ones that are the same length that you grew them out to. Ive never tried that tho cuz i dont get mine done professionally. What i usually do is just wait for long breaks around holidays a spring breaks, or i wait till school is out for summer. Try those, and if they dont work, get back to me and ill try to help as best i can. Hope i helped! Good Luck! And Stick with orchestra it will all be worth it in the end! Please Rate me!

Let your nails grow out so that they are long as you like but are okay for orchestra. Then try getting a manacure.
Plus if you want nails that are long enough to mess up your playing then they may be a little too long for some other things too. manacures are also alot better because some time fake nails can fall off and that just doesn't look nice.

What's more important? Fake nails or orchestra? You pick. You can get fake nails in the future when you're not in orchestra anymore, but you won't always get a chance to be in orchestra in the future.
