First Period
I'm nervous about getting my first period. I'm really afrad that it will leak through and everyone will see. I'm jsut getting out of sixth grade and I'm supposed to be getting it soon. Will it leak through my pants??

Usually, you won`t bleed through your pants. To be prepared, have a pad/tampon in your locker or backpack to be ready when the time comes.. Also a sweatshirt in case you do bleed through. If you do, you can visit the nurse and she can call your parents to bring you some new clothes.
But don`t worry, usually your first time you don`t bleed too much.

ok what you should do is have tampons with you in your back pack or where you go. you can also wer those light day pads just in case. i never had that problem because i didnt really worry about it and when i got mine i was at home it was during the summer but ever girl is different. hope this helps.

dont worry i used to be afraid of getting mine b4 too...it CULD leak thru...but take a purse to skool and like put pads and shit in there...you are lucky you hvaent started it i hate it! k so like .... if you start getting cramps daily then you might wanna watch out...expect it wen you least expect it...mine started like 2 weeks after i started geting bad cramps like eryday...
dont be nervous...just be extra careful and keep like extra pairs of pants in your locker or w.e

Well, I guess it COULD, yes.. that is always a possibility REGARDLESS of one's age; shit happens, ya know??? You just need to be pRepaRed. If you feel you'll be staRting soon, always caRRy a pad in secRetive place in youR puRse oR backpack. And tips to pRevent leaking: weaR a thick, long pad WITH WINGS!!!!!!! GOTTA GET THE WINGS!! Change it often, as often as needed, Really; and you'll know how often that is. I'd guess eveRy thRee oR fouR houRs maybe?? Also, weaR daRk clothes if possible, and tRy to keep them somewhat baggy, so it can't bulge thRough, you see?? Honestly, theRe's nothing to woRRie about. I know my telling you that doesn't CHANGE the fact that you'Re fRigthened, but Really.. it's no biggie; you'll be just fine, I PROMISE!! :D

Don't worry. Ask your blood relatives when they got their periods and you will have a good estimate of when you will. I know how you feel (like a ticking timebomb)but don't worry. Very rarely periods are full-blown at first, you will just see a small spot on your underwear. It is good to, as soon as you are physically able, practice with tampons. I know it sounds dumb, but be prepared.

you shouldn't be worrying. Your first period usualy isn't a lot anyway so no it won't leak through or anything!

I can understand why you`re nervous, but it`s completely normal and natural. Here`s the thing, now that you are approaching the age for getting your period, if you are concerned about it leaking through your pants, wear a thin mini pad every day. Mini pads are little pads that you can`t even feel, and some people wear them to feel refreshed. When you first get your period, it shouldn`t come out heavy, and believe me, you will just feel .. different, once you get it, and you`ll just know. PS: If you do get it soon, since you are worried about it leaking, remember to wear DARK color pants when you have your period =] White is a definite no-no.

It is most common to get your period around the same time your mom got hers. Every one is different, but it is very possible to get it when you are 13,i am 13 and i dont have it so u may get it at any time. If you are worried about it leaking keep an extra pair of pants,period pads, and underwear in a bag in your locker or backpack.hope this helps good luck!

Don't worry about it. It won't leak through anyway because when you first start, it isn't heavy. It only starts getting heavy after you're regular and by then you should know when your period is. Even if it leaks through your underwear, I guarantee at the most it will only leak to the inside of your pants. It won't go through the outside. That reminds me, don't wear a skirt, lol.
If you think you'll be getting your period soon, just wear a panty liner. They're thin and you'll get used to them. Otherwise, you'll know when you have your period because you'll probably feel cramps and it might feel damp in your underwear. When that happens, it's a definite sign to have a trip to the bathroom. And if it turns out you do have your period and you don't have tampons or pads, just roll up some toilet paper around your underwear until you can get some "proper essentials" lol.

i know how you feel! i am supposed to get mine too and i am really nervous! but if you start getiing cramps and find discharge in your underwear..then start wearing panty-liners just in case you get your period while you are out! hop i helped! please rate me!!
