Go to your Start Menu, click settings, and then control panel. Then go to Add/Remove programs. Click Yahoo Messenger, and click remove or uninstall.

Easiest way is too right click on it if you have it pinned to the start menu, click delete. Then, it will bring up another screen click on "add or remove programs". Find your prog on the list that it brings up and delete it.

Alrighty then. Click start and go to programs and find Yahoo Messenger. Right click that and try to delete it. A message should pop up saying "conform shortcut delete". Don't press Delete Shortcut. Where it says "If you want to uninstall the prograsm, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel". Just click the link that says Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Scroll down until you see Yahoo Messenger. Click on it. Then press the button that says "Change/Remove". And there you go!
