Ok, I just started a diet and it's just a regular diet: Lowfat, lowsugar, smaller portions, watching what I'm eating and exercise. Well ever since I started the diet and I haven't really been hungry. And others times when I am hungry and eat, I feel like throwing up. And usually after going to the gym (just a 30 min. cardio workout), I really feel like I'm going to puke, even if I haven't eaten anything. What is wrong with me?!?!

Lacy answered Monday June 20 2005, 6:44 pm: Have you been excersing too much? Throwing up is a way of your body telling you just that. And if you haven't been giving yourself proper nutrition, then that may result in throwing up as well. Another theory is that an extreme change in your diet could cause it as well. You might want to ease into your new lifestyle and give your body time to adjust, like getting into a really cold pool, then getting into a hot tub. You have to take it one step at a time. While it's good that you're trying to be healthier, be careful. Make sure you're eating enough and eating things you should be. [ Lacy's advice column | Ask Lacy A Question ]
Helpful answered Monday June 20 2005, 1:08 am: It is normal to feel like puking after a hard, long workout. Don't worry about that one. But I don't know much about the other problem. Don't stuff your face when you're really hungry. Just concentrate. Are you craving something? A lot of the time when people are 'hungry', they need protein. Try nuts, meat, or peanut butter. It also helps to eat carbohydrates. drink lots of water. [ Helpful's advice column | Ask Helpful A Question ]

MHScutie87 answered Saturday June 18 2005, 6:41 pm: well your body may be used to a lot of fat. and fat is what your body uses mostly for energy! so if your not taking in as much fat, your body may feel low on energy. for more energy, you can eat fats that are good such as avacados or nuts.
your body is going through a period of adjustment and your body's response to it may not be pleasant at first (the nausea). if your body continues this after the first few weeks, maybe you should go back to eating what you were. but keep exercising because it is very good for the body!
LiLNaughtyGrrl16 answered Saturday June 18 2005, 4:40 pm: what your feeling is your body's reaction to a new diet. your body was use to the old diet and it will take sometime for your body to get use to it. My advice when you get the nauseated feeling eat a cracker..it wont mess up your diet and it will totally make you feel better...even a carrot or celery will help...If you need anymore help im here..
