ok.....well i think that colors such as navy blue and hunter green would look nice. If pink is your favorite color then go with pink.its about what you like....and if you want her to look more professional but still have pink and stuff then i think maybe try a color that is like a burgundy color. i have a bay appaloosa thoroughbred and burgundy looks really nice on him. jus a thought tho.good luck and i kno you will make a nice choice in the end.please rate my advice.thanks.

White or Green would look pretty, but you probably don't want to go off too far on any color considering it will get harder and harder to find matching tack.

I would go with white or a dull yellow!! Light blue would look really good also! But if you like pink do a lighter pink. ♥

My favorite color saddle on a chestnut would be white. It's a sleak look & I don't know if you ride for show or recreation but it will definitely look clean. Just don't get pink even though it's cute on mares because it won't go on well with the chestnut.

As for saddle pads, just avoid colors like purple, pink & red. Whites, blues & greens will be fine. Have fun! =]

ok.... please dont dress up your horse... i have a bay mare and i get baker blankets/sheets, black or navy turnouts and she looks very beutiful. when i take her to shows and she wears her stuff it makes her look good. pink and purple halters and crap just make horses look like they should be in a circus or at a petting zoo. would you dress up your dog with a pink outfit? (they have clothes for dogs) but trust me, if you were a horse you you like being dressed up in ridiculous looking colors that made you look like you were tacked up by a 4 year old? i dont think so... keep that in mind...

DangerNerd answered Saturday June 11 2005, 7:27 am:
Hello there,

While I can't tell you exactly what colors will look best on your horse I can give you a helpful suggestion in finding out:

In paint stores, or the paint section of your local department store, there are color swatches which you can either borrow or take to keep.

Pick out several that are colors you like, take them home and hold them up to your horse. See how you feel about the color combination with her coat. You might be surprised to find that the colors you really thought would go well look awful.

I can tell you right now that pink is a bad idea. Pink combined with any shade of brown is a fashion faux pas that is characterized by a common saying in both the automotive trade and the interior design: "roses in poop." :-)

That may be the only saying in the entire universe that is common to both automotive detailing and interior design.

Please take good care of your new girlfriend, you will be spending a lot of time together.

DangerNerd.
