AIM
I have AIM downloaded to my computer. It has aways worked fine. Now whenever I click on the icon to launch aim nothing happens...? No matter how much I try restarting. Then once in a blue moon the window where you type your username and such comes up, I fell it out, and it says "connecting" and then "Aim service cannot be reached, check internet connection". The internet is working fine, only Aim isnt working. What should I do?!

I used to get that. You need to check all of your interent cabels and make sure each and everyone of them is pluged in right. Uninstal AIM and then re-install it. It should work because it did work for me. ♥

Delete and redownload it...or search FAQ on aim.com.

My AIM does that occasionally and you just have to reinstall AIM and that will fix those problems you are getting. Uninstalling and then reinstalling your AIM should work the next time you go on.

Get MSN Messenger. AOL just sucks.

try uninstalling it and then downloading it again but make sure it is completely uninstalled from your computer before you re-download. go to your control panel to uninstall it.

Well after researching and all I found all messengers suck but I found this program [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) which allows you to open all AIM,MSN,YAHOO,ICQ in one window and it has alot more features and its safer with no ads or pop ups. But yea I cant use yahoo at work it wont open and aim just sucks.

Well, the same thing happened to me with my yahoo! It wouldnt want to work for several months. Then one day i just decided to redownload it. When i did, and everything was downloaded, it started working fine again. That was about a couple of months ago and it still works fine for to this day. So what i would suggest you do is just to redownload it again and see what happens and go from there. Hope i helped! Get back to me and tell me how everything goes if you can.

Try going to the start mesnu to get to the program.If that doesn't work, maybe your version is outdated.If you don't want to download..go to www.aim.com and click on aim express.It won't have all the features of aim but you could still chat with people

I have the same problem sometimes its either your computer user name or your internet connection. but try going to preferences and then connection and switch the connection. I know its confusing but you'll see the connection button.
