Usually, when your prom date asks what the color of your dress is, it means that he wants to know corsage, the flowers that go on your wrist, will match your dress color. Or he may want to wear a matching tie or shirt.

Hmm... probably because he wanted to get a matching corsage. If your dress was yellow, you wouldn't want a yellow corsage. He might want to have the same color tie as your dress. Maybe he was just curious. There's one way to find out - ask him. Just ask him why he asked what color your dress was. But it's probably one of the listed reasons.

I bet he wants to match with the color your going to wear. He could also be getting you a matching gift or something.

SO he can get you flowers that match. Flowers for your write or a corsage. Also sometimes the boys wear shirts that match their dates dress.usually this is all his mom's idea, so that you with both look so cute inthe pictures.

jbdreamer answered Friday May 6 2005, 2:14 pm:
That's quite common. He may want to coordinate and get a tux that compliments your dress, and doesn't clash. It will also help him pick out a corsage.
