hey...i'm thinking of getting my cartilage peirced does anyone know if it hurts and how badly? and also like whats thing like if its in a certain ear your gay and if its in the other you aren't..?

I dont know about the gay thing but I do know that body piercin people say that getting your cartilage pierced is about the most painful place you could get it pierced and it is also a more likely place to get infected and it's easy to get it infected!! Hope i helped your decision!!!

Ok.. i like piercings, and i pierce random parts of my body for fun (ear, nose, lip, etc.) I dont really think it hurts that badly, but you MUST take care of it everyday after you get it pierced. Most people, including myself have it done on their right ear. There is no "gay ear" or whatever.. its whatever you choose. So dont worry about what people say. IF you want it done on your right ear, go ahed. If you want it on your left ear.. be my guest

depending on the type of person you r it might hurt and it might just have that needle pinch.but that shit hurts like crazy after it is put in and it starts to heal.you need to take care of it.if it is a ear percing that pain goes away once the cold air hits it ,it goes away in 5 secounds.

i did it to myself. I bought a kit at sallys beauty supply. It hurts just like getting your ears pierced in the ear lobe. And it's the right ear that "means your gay" and left that doesn't. But whatever..pierce it where you want to. I would suggest not to do it yourself though, becasue it wasn't until after I did it that several people told me that if you hit a certain nerve up there that your ear could shrivel up. So get a proffesional to do it unless you are willing to risk it.

First of all, get it done with a needle, not a "gun". Second, neither ear makes you gay, if you are still in that mentality, you probably shouldn't be getting pierced.

Getting your cartilage pierced doesn't hurt, but after you get it done and you sleep on it or bump it there is a little bit of pain, but nothing that will make you want to take it out and never put it back in again..lol Just make sure you clean it about 2-3 times aday and twist it so it doesnt get stuck or anything. I think its guys arent sopose to wear earings on the right side? but yeah it doesnt hurt that bad its not like fall over on your side hurt, its like a slight pinch.

it doesnt hurt at all, i have mine peirced twice. i have my left done, but the lady said that with the cartilige it doesnt mean anything. you should get it on the side you dont sleep on as often. after m you get it done, it might be a little sensative. but just make sure you clean it, and keep your earring in cause it closes easily. goodluck

lol no! it doesn't hurt for me at all.. actually i got mine pierced like with a belly button hole peircer and that didn't even hurt!.. my friend said hers did but mine dind't hurt at all! .. there is nothing that i hurd of being gay and not gay in an ear!! that's crazyy..! any more further questions let me know!

Getting your cartilage pierced does not hurt at all. If you have gotten your regular ear piercings, getting your cartilage pierced is about twice as much as the pain of that, which is nothing. Just pinch your cartilage and that is how much it will hurt (just don't pinch too hard).
As for which ear to get your cartilage pierced, it's not true. A few years back, people made a big deal out of it. Getting a piercing on your right ear means your gay but who really cares because no one makes a big deal out of it. There are a few girls that I know who have their right cartilage pierced.
