Depends on who you are playing with really. If its just friends (guy or girl) then you should try to ask personal questions that you are curious about. LOL That's the point of 20 questions, because I bet that they are going to ask you personal questions right back. If its a crush then you should try to ask questions about what and whom they like romantically. 20 Questions is a great game for finding out interesting things about all the cool (or not so cool) people in your life.
