dreamingkat answered Saturday April 16 2005, 10:10 am: If you have time on the weekends, you can make whole-grain pancakes (with nuts or bits of fruit if you like them), wrap them in wax paper and put 2-4 (however many you eat at a time) in a ziplock baggie and freeze them. Then you can microwave or toast them in the toaster in the morning. It's healthier than the frozen waffle sticks you can get in the store.
One of my favorite breakfasts is instant oatmeal with some diced fruit or raisins to sweeten it. I make it with less water and add milk so it cools down quicker. It takes about 5 min to make (from stumbling into the kitchen to not burning your tongue). It also takes about 5 min to shovel into your mouth if you don't spend time chewing and swallowing.
If that's not quick enough, peanut butter toast and a piece of fruit is portable, as are "meal replacement bars". Be careful that you get bars that have enough calories and nutrients to actually be meal replacements and not meal supplements. They will say so on the bar. I never find them filling enough personally.
You could buy some healthy low fat whole grain muffins (a bag of hostess mini blueberry muffins don't count), warm one in the microwave (about 20 seconds on 1/2 power usually does it for me), cut it down the middle and spread cream cheese on either side of the cut.
sunshine1232 answered Saturday April 16 2005, 8:41 am: well you could have protein bars or cereal or you could buy those micowaveable breakfast sandwiches like sausage, egg,n cheese those are good you can usally but them from a deil or a store i like those or you could have oatmeal that is good also for the cereal you could cut a couple of banana's and put them in there to also after you have the cereal you could have some orange juice afterwards. sugarhigh0218 answered Wednesday April 13 2005, 11:48 pm: yogurt is great - really easy, and healthy. also cereal, bagels, muffins and fruits are good too especially when you're on the run.
if you have a little more time, try making a fruit smoothie. just put some yogurt, a bit of milk or apple juice, some chopped fruits of your choice, ice in a blender and mix. personally, i like some ice cream in my smoothies as well, but i guess that's not too healthy... anyways try experimenting with different fruits and different types of yogurt. i like putting bananas, strawberries, raspberries, banana-strawberry yogurt, vanilla ice cream, and milk in mine. icey0990 answered Wednesday April 13 2005, 10:20 pm: OK im trying to eat healthier..and im usually on the RUN in the morning..i usually eat a piece of fruit to go..like an orange or grapes, whatever fruit you want.
If i had more time i would eat some Special K because thats a healthy cereal and it says on the box if you replace 2 meals a day with the cereal, you will lose weight.
Oatmeal, cherios, also very good health choices if you have time to sit down for a few minutes. [ icey0990's advice column | Ask icey0990 A Question ]
S_C answered Wednesday April 13 2005, 8:45 pm: Banana, or cherrios with strawberries in it. Or wheat toast (healthier then regular) with a scrabled egg, or I just buy those breakfast bars (cereal bars) my personal fave is cinnamon toast crunch. Though I'm not sure how healthy that is. Or even a blueberry muffin is somewhat healthy. Lots of times I either grab a banana, a cereal bar, or I buy a muffing @ school for breakfast. I don't have enough time to make a real breakfast in the mornings except Saturday and then I make eggs and toast. That's pretty healthy. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
