Hey does anyone know any good ways to lose about 5 pounds for the summer? My friend wants to go to the beach but i dont look right in a bathingsuit. Any tips would be REALLY helpful Thanx

sure just eat all meat and drink all water. gradually eat less and less as u go along so ur body can adapt. Also lift weights, running, or going to the gym burn fat and make muscle.

Half an hour before you eat lunch, drink a glass of ICE COLD water. This will cool your body down and therefore make your metabolism speed up to warm up your body, so you burn off the food you eat quicker!
Another way to speed up the metabolism is to excersize first thing in the morning. It speeds your metabolism up for the whole day. Walk to school if you can.
If you have a problem (like me!) with saying you'll just eat one biscuit and then eating the whole pack, have a drink of water and then brush your teeth. The minty taste should stop you wnating the biscuit - everything tases nasty after you've brushed your teeth! Make sure you drink the water though, because brushing your teeth straight after eating sugar contributes to tooth decay.

if you cut 500 caleries...like if you normall y eat 2000 caleries a day, eat ike 1500....then u will lose 1 pound a week....excersizing will help you lose more...cut out potatoes breads pastas, eat more fruits and vegies..hop ei helped! ]
I'm sure you're probably already active, but if you have a tight schedule (school, after school activites) here are some simple things you can do anywhere: Stand rather than sit; sit up rather than lie down; walk rather than ride in a car; ride a bike rather than ride in a car; use stairs rather than an elevator or an escalator; walk around rather than stand still; run or jog rather than walk; walk briskly rather than walk slowly; or use body power rather than a machine.
Other things, which require time, are running or jogging, swimming, jumping rope, or bicycling. You could start a plan, there's probably so many, but the one I would choose is: Running or jogging three miles, four times a week, and attempting to run this in less than 27 minutes. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, cut down on soda and potato chips, and other foods that are high in fat. NOTE: If you take in fewer calories then you burn, you'll lose weight.

you can drink a lot of water eat fruit and vegatables eat breakfast cause it makes u less hungry and causes u to eat less get the abb loung and run. I hope I helped. ]
eat healthier and do 20 crunches throughout the course of the day and even if the scale dosne go down dont worry you might be ganing weight because of mucle .. Steph ]
my brother did the atkins diet he lost pounds quick... he stopped drinking coke and ate more veggies instead cut out most of the carbs and i believe he's 8 lbs lighter ( only his first week) ]

Whatever you decide to go, don't starve yourself. It can totally screw up your metabolism and make you gain even more weight. Besides your metabolism, it is unhealthy for your body anyways.
Try eating more healthfully. Instead of eating junk food have fruit, or vegetables. Drink water, sometimes drinking lots of water can decrease your appetite. You can try excersising more. Try running around your block everyday or something. Instead of taking the elevator or escalator, take the stairs. Try doing sit-ups, crunches, push-ups etc.

loosing wait CAN be easy, and somehow fun. Simply make it part of your simple routine. You don't HAVE to go to the gym because there are other ways that you can loose wait at home. For example doing crunches. Crunches help flaten and make your stomach smaller. You do this by laying on the floor (on your back) your legs should be bent either in the air or with your feet on the floor. Put your hands behind your head and press your belly button to the floor while lifting up your head and shoulders off the ground. You can do these everyday. You can do them in the morning when you wake up. In the afternoon when you come home from school and in the evening after dinner and/or when you go to bed. You can do 20 each time or 50. You can increase your amount when needed. You can do crunches while watching tv too. even if it is your favorite show, you can always fit at least 10 into a commercial break...

Losing 5 pounds will take a very short time and it's pretty easy, instead of trying to lose 45 pounds for example. You need to start eating healthy, watch how much you eat, and exercise daily. Start eating low carbohydrate and calorie foods and start drinking lots of water. Basically, you can eat anything, except junk and unhealthy foods. Once you lose 5 pounds, you need to stick to this plan because you will just gain the weight back. ]
You could run a mile 5 times a week? DO some crunches and sit-ups that will help tone up your stomach ]
