I havn't worn my retainer for a LONG TIME, about 2 years, and my bottom teeth have moved, just the 4 in the frontish, and well, i was wondering, if i started using my retainer now...and delt with the pain, would my teeth move back into place??
LiSaxOBaBii answered Thursday March 31 2005, 5:10 pm: i'm afraid not...this happened to me but i didn't wear mine for 2 weeks and you didn't wear yours for 2 years..big difference!!i had to get a new one made so i think you should talk to your orthodotis (sp?) about it. Any movement will be small, and probably uncomfortable.
I think you should really talk to your orthodontist [ flyaway's advice column | Ask flyaway A Question ]

sparta answered Wednesday March 30 2005, 10:44 pm: hey,
I would skip the hole retainer thing. They are fitted specifically to your mouth, so what fit you two years ago might not be right for you now. And using it again could possibly damage your teeth. I suggest going to the dentist and getting "invisiline". It is an invisible retainer, you can wear it all the time, no one will see, and it will straighten your teeth twice as quik! You might wanna go see your orthodontist and see if you can still wear that retainer or get a new one made. Bcuz by mom uses a retainer and she has to get new ones made every few months. So I'd go see him becuz if you use that retainer and its not the right one to use..then it might move your teeth in a direction that's not meant for them to move nd it could mess up your teeth.
